3rd baseman Noelvi Marte sustained a facial contusion after "catching" a ball in the face before the game that Elly De La Cruz had playfully tossed toward him.
Thankfully no fracture. So Marte is now on the day to day IL.
Then later in the 4th inning catcher Tyler Stephenson disputed a call with an ump but was not ejected but Mgr David Bell then came onto the field and started talking with the ump and was ejected. Then a coach who was interim manager also got ejected later after another dispute!
For heaven's sake you'd think the guys were playing the Brew Crew with how they've not been able to outperform the lowly Cards!!
SHEESH!! **SMH**
