Just an incredible past week plus. DPs have just been unbelievable for most of May. Hard to wrap my brain around consistent 30 degrees DPs even during the day , for MAY. I don't expect much if any rain until sometime early Monday. This airmass is no different than an arctic outbreak in January as it will take some time to moisten up.

DPs in the region in the low to mid 30s. Still don't expect any rain until early Monday at best.

Mostly virga showers on radar, with maybe a few drops reaching the ground here and there. DPs still in 30s and low 40s. Forecast remains with rain arriving early Monday with a weak warm front. Amounts are all over the place, from a tenth to an inch, so not everyone's garden will be satisfied by mother nature.

Good Morning, nice weather here in Greenville. Heading for Hilton Head on Tuesday and the weather looks perfect with highs in the low 80's and lows in the mid 60's. Will be heading back home Saturday for much of the summer. Hopefully everyone gets some rainfall this week but the current pattern is one where the southeast ridge is trying to expand and this could lead to big time differences from northwest to southeast in terms of rainfall with the heavier rains most likely northwest of here.

Hi Tim,
I hope that you and your family have a great time in Hilton Head!
How's the gasoline situation there in SC?
Currently 70 here in my Greenville.

A well advertised weak warm front still on tap for Monday morning . Not your normal warm front that we usually see, the dynamics often associated with these just isn't there. Not expecting heavy rain amounts for Monday, scattered amounts in the .20"-.60" range in general. ATM, for Tuesday could bring another chance with the front nearby and upper energy passing through. Still don't see a heavy rain maker with that one either, scattered amounts again , .10"-.50" in general.

So it sounds like a wet morning then drying out possibly? Not a rain out day? Hopefully!

Very nice post and here is where models have problems. Say you take 6 different sites within 100 or so miles from CVG. One area may get 1 inch and another .025 so you average between .5 and .75. So the forecast can be a bust both ways. Looks like the next couple of days chances for showers but then summer will try and show up but will it get squashed by another front or will it fight and try to push the next cold front off to the northeast. Still only mid-May and getting into long term heat usually waits until very late May or early June but again very seldom do we stay colder than normal like we have the 1st part of May. Still working on my summer forecast and been hedging more above normal for the June-Sept period but got a couple of weeks before giving my final thoughts. BTW the severe season has been a big bust and really the cold air has kept it at bay. That is good news but again severe season imo lasts until about mid-July but again any thunderstorm can produce severe weather.

Had to drop someone off at CVG this morning and I can confirm it was raining cats and dogs there. Bet Les had a nice soaking at his house.

1.3" on my gauge now that I have had time to check it.
The trends are to lower rain chances in the next day or two and up the temps. Looks like a week of 80s on the way beginning Wednesday, Can we get 89'ed or a sneaky early season 90 Thurs, Fri or Sat? Our first taste of summer is on the way!
