43 was it for my high today. CVG topped out at 44. Record cold high for today was 44 set back in the snowy October of 1989 so we tied it without any snow on the ground. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Rather impressive Les. I thought today was going to be cold and had no ideal what the record was for the day. Slow warm up begins Wednesday as we should see a few more hours of sunshine and that warm up should continue through the weekend. Still believe the pattern is setting up wetter next week but like you mentioned we have plenty of time to figure that out. Heading back to SC next Thursday for about 17 days though 6 days will be spent golfing in Hilton Head so rooting for mild and dry during that period.

Hope you have some nice weather for Golfing Tim! For us... clouds will probably screw with the temp again in some locals, so Thurs morning maybe the coldest for some folks as we'll def have clear skies then. 70s and shorts this weekend, then we'll see what happens for next week. Very low confidence as to how the whole thing will evolve. At least we've got a storm system to track for a change.

5pm climate report shows the same at CMH. A trace of rain today versus the trace of snow CVG and DAY recorded.

Can't believe you got snow before me. LOL

Currently 37 here in G'ville.
Going to get some routine blood work done this morning.
Good morning Bro! Also 37 here imby thanks to clouds again not allowing us to drop. That should not be the case tonight. Last chance for a bit at a frost and freeze...

Les we thought that Thursday morning may be the coldest at night though we tied a record on Tuesday for coldest high temp. Colder in Northern Florida then here and way way early for frost down there. No doubt imo Mother Nature is looking at winter starting early this year which is a change from several of the past years. How long will it last or do we switch over to a milder period in January. Way to many questions to answer at this point. La Nina and a 3rd year one has very little to go on but usually drier than normal which has no doubt been the case this fall.

Clouds and wind kept temps up here again this AM. Low of only 38 whereas if it cleared we would have easily had a hard freeze. Did have mainly rain yesterday evening but did notice some ice pellets or snow mixed in. Total rainfall was 0.02".
Of course with record cold in the midwest , we have the record heat in the NW

It's actually warmer here than in the panhandle of Florida if you can believe it.

We will finally have clear skies tonight and the winds will drop off too as the flow from Lake Michigan is done. Only thing that may hurt us from bottoming out would be if our flow turned around to the south too early causing temps to plummet early, then rise towards sunrise. That is something to watch. Otherwise if the southerly flow doesn't kick in as fast then the upper 20s to lower 30s is likely for most by tomorrow morning.

Picked up a quarter of an inch of rain. Just enough to wet the leaves down to keep them from blowing around. Now I want the wind to dry them up. LOL

For next week... 12Z GFS brings in a weakening front on Tues with rain moving in and weakening as it does so in the afternoon and evening hours. Not the big storm idea that we once saw, which makes since, thanks to the -PNA. We lost the nice amplified pattern (+PNA / -NAO combo). Not sure yet on any stronger storms making it in here (that may occur to our West though). Plenty of time to watch it.

12Z Euro for next week is a little faster with the front's arrival then the GFS, as the weakening line comes in late Mon night into early Tues morning. Thus far... I'm not all that impressed for decent rains at this time. Far from it in fact.
