I have not had any chances to check my station but CVG did pick up 0.09" overnight. I was out and never heard a thing.

Good Morning and welcome back Les. All Les had to do was head north on vacation and bring back the cooler weather. Next year Les can you head north in early August lol. How much rain falls this week and how long does the rain stay around. Looks like most folks should get around an inch but some areas can get more with the front later Tuesday and early Wednesday. Does an upper system develop nearby Wednesday and keep the rain chances around is a question the models differ on. No doubt much cooler air and hopefully drier by Friday. Every year I get a certain type of crickets that show up near my sidewalk around mid-August to early September. Those crickets never showed up and I have no ideal unless the 2 hour 6 inches of rain drowned them plus that area is near the street where the sewer runs and of course during that period was flowing about as hard as I have ever seen.

Thanks Tim! Good to be back although busy with working again and such. I'll be getting caught up on the yardwork hopefully later this week or this weekend. Gotta get my spinach seeds in too for my early Spring crop. But yeah... was thrilled to see the pattern evolve the way it is looking to do so. I agree with a lot of the thoughts posted here while I was gone. This pattern looks to be persistent. Sure we can spike up into the 80s again and we probably will. But the trough will be back. I think the 90s and Summer's Back have been broken until next year,

I haven't been following this system much since I was gone, but based on My Dome, I'll believe those totals if I see them.

This is in no way a meteorological post. All I can say is damn! Is this system really legit and will that low move along the front and we're in the deform band like in winter? I mean this system is a winter like system. This new pattern coming is several weeks early. All good signs for our master plan ala Winter 2021-2022!

I did look at the entire 12Z GFS run and I like what it's doing. We get the new pattern, then try and moderate in early October. Then the tropics get involved to cool us back down again in the period just after the GFS's fantasy range. Let's see how those ideas look going forward.

In the meantime, light rain here... The Dome is open for business! :)

That is one slow moving band of rain. It's barely moved in 4 hours. Put the legs and mowers in high gear to get work done today. :)

Not surprisingly the Redlegs / Pirates are under a delay.

Tues night and Wed afternoon games could very well be washed out. Maybe a doubleheader next Mon?

Need the liquid gold though so will take it! :thumbupleft:

Down to 69 degrees here. 0.98" for the day. CVG up to 0.91" - event total so far. 1.14" at the Boone Co Mesonet site. Those 2-3" totals might be legit guys.
