Aug. 6: C Tucker Barnhart signed to Minor League deal

Barnhart, who was designated for assignment and released by the D-backs on July 6, began his career with the Reds. Cincinnati's 10th-round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, Barnhart won two Gold Glove Awards over his eight seasons with the Reds (2014-21). Since then he has bounced around, with stints with the Tigers (94 games in '22), the Cubs (47 games in '23) and most recently the D-backs (31 games this year).

Over his 11-year career, Barnhart has slashed .241/.318/.351 with 53 homers.
