Good Morning and looks like most folks got a nice dose of rain. Got 1/2 inch down here in Greenville this morning. No doubt the next 10-14 days should have temps below normal and how much rain can we get is important. The central and southern plains look rather dry in many spots so once we get into the warmer pattern the heat can build quickly unless more rain can fall in those areas. I still believe heat will be more likely in the earlier part of summer and then normal to maybe even slightly below normal the 2nd half of summer. The northern plains and upper mid-west continue to have snow fall and though its common in the early spring the amount of systems with snow is well above normal. Yes there is some flooding on the creeks and rivers but in a way the cold has slowed down the flooding. When the warmth finally takes over will flooding become more widespread and imo still a concern has south-central Canada and the upper regions of the northern plains have snow still on the ground.

I'm back! Caught 6 fish yesterday jigging on the Detroit River and my Brother and I on Thurs caught 3 more on the big lake. Weather was tough as expected but I at least got to fish 3 days. :)

Back to our local weather and picked up 0.22" of rain since midnight. More incoming so I guess I'll have to wait and mow tomorrow. More frost chances upcoming with a below avg temp week ahead. Next chance of rain after today comes towards the end of next week.

Where was that in January and Feb? Looks like both the Pacific and ATL Basins are heating up. 1995 possible analog? Featured record heat in July and big hurricane season too in ATL basin.

Thanks to clouds 39 here this morning so no frost. We'll try it again tonight. Only the low 50s expected for today so a bit chilly outside but good for getting things done in the yard. :) We should be good for that thru about Wed or Thurs. Then our next system arrives.
