We got pounded in Green Twp. 2.02" in 60 minutes. Yesterday, my home weather station picked up a measly 0.04" of rain. Apparently today is payback!

A break in the action here finally. I think the center of that MCV we've been watching since yesterday moved in and is over Cincinnati at this time.

A little sunshine here now to really steam things up. It'll probably help generate more showers.

Just checking out Luken Airport and they record .60 today. So no doubt the west side got the best rains this morning.

I just checked my rain guage, 2.1 inches from overnight through this morning. I live maybe four miles from Lunken Airport to the west. We needed it, hardly anything had fallen the past couple of days.

I have noticed that and they had some sun earlier today and even here some peaks of sun over the past 2 hours has got the temp up to 81 with a dew of 75. Still tons of moisture available and expect more pop up storms this afternoon and it only takes a little sun to get those storms going.

That is wild and just shows you especially in the summer how rainfall amounts can vary in such a short distance.

Another great video from Brian. He is talking about the same items we have for several days and one key item is later next week. We talked about how Monday and Tuesday could be very similar to this Thursday and Friday and he even pointed out how the rain may extend into Wednesday. These are all the talking points on this forum this week. He also mentioned the chance of some drier and cooler air that could invade late next week. If that happens would not be surprised to see a day or two near 80 with dew points in the mid-upper 50's. That would be wonderful as we could get overnight lows maybe 58 or 59 and won't go lower because I believe we will have plenty of moisture in the ground which helps keep the overnight temp up a few degrees. One other thing we need to look at as well is if the cold front makes it into the gulf states and stalls out this could end up being an area the following week that a tropical system may try and form along the coast. Way to early but will watch over the next few days to see if the models catch on to this item.

I mentioned a week ago after 8/10 a period of below normal temps would be possible and its nice to still see that potential showing up. Until then, humid with a chance of storms is the rule. Lowest chances Sun and Mon. Sat, 50 / 50 and I think likely Tues and Wed.

Hasn't been much convection up my way so far since yesterday. Just some brief ground wetters which at this rate is better than nothing. ;)

The slow upper level low that traversed the middle of the country the last few days was similar to a leftover tropical low that does the same thing occasionally . Makes you wonder if we are still in this weak flow when a tropical system does the old recurve across these parts , how much rain can it put down

Low to mid 70s for dews and PWATS at 1.9" for the area right now. If any storm can go up locally hvy rain is of course still likely. Radar is quieting down tonight. If it remains so in the morning then maybe some heating to do it again in the afternoon? We'll see! Probably some local fog in the morning in areas that do clear out from today's rains.

This really makes sense because the pacific off the coast of Mexico has been the area with the busiest tropical season so far this season and the flow is bringing up tons of moisture and they really need the rain.

CVG got 2.34" yesterday for a record and an additional 0.30" so far this morning as of 7am. 2 day total so far of 2.64". For my hood, 2" yesterday and an additional 0.70" so far today for a two day total of 2.7" for my dome. 4" has fallen just to my SW so FFW's are of course in effect this morning. Good morning Les. My total since Thursday is up to 0.55 inches. What a wild few days as the rich get richer lol. There is like a wall once the rain hits the boone/kenton county line.
