Well the 12z HRRR has the storms making it to my hood in the 11:00-12:00 timeframe, albeit sub-severe but still with some heavy downpours. We shall see!

That seems reasonable to me, Mike. The line is holding together better then I thought it would to be honest. (Just looking at it from a rain standpoint only). DAY, CVG areas should cash in with this activity based on the current trends anyway. I have a feeling that the next line of storms for this evening will either pop right on top of us, or just to our south depending on how much further to the SE, the current boundary gets.

12Z NAM is doing that. The line for this evening generates over SE IN and SW Ohio around 8pm this evening. The line drops south into KY.

I wish they would stop saying stuff like 1 in a 1000 year flood and stuff when they talk about weather events like what happened in Kentucky. we did not even have recorded official data going back that far for one thing. i was just watching some footage and its pretty bad for sure with local infrastructure taken out along with many homes in lower areas. its very tragic for the ones that got trapped and no where to escape with water rising. some of the people will probably never be found

I agree the media always needs a headline. Only folks living in that area 1000 years ago were the native americans. Very poor area and some of the poorest in rural areas of the USA.

The line is really breaking up now as it pushes into the Metro. Models were correct with that occurring (HRRR and NAM) so let's see what happens!

true. click bait. Im not familiar with the area but someone was saying many of these people probably did not even have flood insurance. going by what I see it looks like lower class areas and I seen quite a few mobil home, modular type homes. some of these people had their own bridge going in to their property that was taken out . the hardships are real for those folks.

Heavy rain now... a nice cell coming right over My Dome. I'll post my total when I take my lunch next hour. Should be able to get 0.10-0.20" out of this. As Tim said, nice bonus! :)

EDIT: Just had a rumble of thunder too!

Dews are up to 75 now at CVG so it won't take much in the way of sun to rebuild with the juicy airmass in place. The placement of the boundary later this afternoon is critical for this evening's action as far as location goes. The boundaries current location per visible is over our Eastern counties just to the East of Cincinnati. So like our Eastern Tri-state counties and S of the Metro area.

I got 0.06" from this morning. I thought it would be more per my previous post, but oh well. Good news per the visible... clouds are thinning and we should be able to heat up this afternoon. Boundary appears to be on top of us right now so I suspect new cells may fire late this afternoon and evening very close if not on top of us. Will continue to monitor...
