Radar shows a few isolated cells popping just about anywhere is fair game.

Yea , shear is less than mediocre, so we should see pulse type isolated storms that can get rather strong but can't sustain peak strength for an extended time.

Strong, but non severe isolated cell east of ILN. Typical of what we will see the rest of today.

Good Afternoon and an nice early muggy start to June. Isolated would be the best word to use with the afternoon activity. The good thing is the atmosphere is not worked over and I believe the best shot we have for some decent rain is that normal 4-9a Thursday morning. My guess is we will see and area to the west form overnight and head this way with the cold front still to our north. Still like the .25-.50 for most but again if you can get a thundershower to last a little longer a little more can fall. Going to get some nice relief later Thursday and the weekend. Chances will ramp up some next week but need to see how the tropics play in this equation.

Good Morning Les and Happy Birthday Bgoney!! Just enough rain so the plants are doing wonderful plus with some cooler and drier weather that should extend until the next chance of rainfall. 89 seems correct yesterday. The models in the summer still have problems with cold fronts and what to do with temps here locally. 2 days ahead of a front the models go to high on temps and 1 day before they go to low. This has been a problem since I have been watching models and you would believe that there is enough info fed into the models to correct the problem but no. Again we are only talking a degree or two and really means nothing except there is a little glitch that needs to be corrected. At least over the next 10 days or so any kind of heat will be short-lived at best and what is quite funny is how we determine heat waves. Seems like in the current stage any time we get over 90 for more than 2 days is a heat wave. Growing up a heat wave was issued if the heat lasted 7 days or more. I go very conservative on this and there is more than temperature that can define a heat wave. Heat index imo is a good way to determine a heat wave and I try to use that as defining how I see a heat wave. 5 days or more of a heat index at 95 or above is what I use. The media probably has a heat wave at anything above 80 lol.

Good morning everyone! Tim... the plants are looking great as well as the lawn. Beans are maturing and I have about 6 little tomatoes now on my plants. :) Like you mentioned the other day, if we can keep this pattern up, it is going to be an awesome growing season and summer! It is tough to remain active all summer long. Even My Dome kicks in usually by mid July or so. Hope to see this year turn out differently. Tough to say right now. As long as the rain keeps coming, it isn't going to change. You turn off the faucet, then you know what happens.

Cold front is still located over Central IN so we are fair game for non severe rain / t-shower today until it passes. 70s for temps due to clouds. Dews will drop into the 40s and 50s for Fri and Sat. Man it is going to feel oh so good! Next chance for rain due in Sun night and on multiple days early next week too. Active set up forth coming with a stalled out frontal boundary and multiple waves moving along it.

Good Afternoon and this last wave of activity has everything to do with an atmosphere form yesterday and the front today which combined to ring out as much moisture as possible. You see this a lot in the winter and the day before a winter storm look for a sunny day that primes the atmosphere as much as possible. This will be the last batch and sure a sprinkle or light shower can happen this afternoon but should not hurt outdoor activities at all.

Front has passed CVG Metro... NW winds now and dews are slowly lowering. The beautiful sunny dry air is filtering in from the north. I-70 Crew are already enjoying it and soon we will be too. :)

I was just outside and it does feel less humid to me so the dew has to be getting closer to 60. Probably will see 50s for dews this evening. Should be a nice evening for outdoor plans!
