Got to 68 here.

That sounds good to me Les, cool even raw weekend on tap, .maybe some sprinkles at times . Cut off low is going to take its time in the Rockies and thats great for them, 2 to 3'+ , they need it.
I sure would love to be in the Denver area or the foothills! Could be a snow weenies dream! :polarfish:

A creative way to show folks that it's going to be windy Wed and Thurs. Per John Gumm at Local 12:

My trash cart got a #2 during a wind event, I believe it was sometime in Jan. The top blew back and was flapping against the cart and at some point, even with a full load, it blew over. That was "fun".

If my cans ever blew away, we'd have a tornado probably since they usually always have garbage in them!

Good morning all! Let's see if the clouds spoil our run at 70 today. I think increasing clouds tomorrow will cause us to fall short. Windy conditions the next few days as we've already talked about. Rain comes in Thurs night ending early Fri. I think a half inch to 1" is likely for the area. The front slips south this weekend and we'll drop into the 40s and low 50s across the region. The front returns as a warm front Sun night into Monday with more heavy rain likely. We should have a couple of systems pass thru next week as the front stalls out. I think a couple of inches of rain is very likely by the time all is said and done. I am counting the rest of this week and next week for that total.

Still watching the low end threat for snow in the extended range. A low threat yes, but not completely zero before spring finally takes over. Basically folks, I have no changes to my forecast or thoughts over the next week to 2 weeks. Not seeing any definitive snow signals yet nor am I seeing any definitive severe wx threats for our local area. The severe threat will come once we get some Gulf moisture involved to go along with the warmth. April should be good to us in that dept. We'll see!

I know. An historical event for Denver is 2-3' +. An historical event for us is 12 inches or more. Lol!

70 is looking more achievable attm. Currently at 64 already as of 11am and the sky cover is much better then yesterday as far as sunshine is concerned.

I'm watching a live briefing right now from Reed Timmer about the possible tornado activity coming in Iowa/MN/Wisconsin; gotta ask, doesn't he look like Geraldo Rivera with that cheesy mustache?

Taking a quick peek at the Euro here and no changes to the 1st slug of heavy rain that comes in Thurs night ending early Fri. Cooler this weekend and now it too has some light showers with the upper low on Sunday. More mod to hvy rain returns on Monday with cooler temps early next week also. Monday should stay in the 40s for highs with rain. A raw Sunday and Monday to be honest.

I'm thinking you gotta add at least a threat for thunder tomorrow. Won't be severe, but feel a few of us will hear some.

Yep, yesterday's EU ensembles had the showery look for the weekend and the op finally follows suit.

Yeah, I wouldn't rule out thunder but I don't think severe is an issue. Not seeing severe for next week yet either. I just don't think we'll have warm enough and moist enough air. Some thunder and mod to heavy rain is really all I am expecting currently.

So we get an okay Thursday with rain chances coming in... rain ending with a cooler Fri. A cool and dry Sat. Showery and raw Sunday and an absolutely garbage day for Monday of next week. That sounds about right LOL
