Nice CG strikes here and booming thunder! Temp was at 54 but dropped back to 50 as the storms began. Might see some training along the river unless the warm front lifts further north. Don't think it will. Low is 1002 MB over S ILL headed right for Cincinnati.

0.15" at CVG as of this post, 0.18" here and 0.12" at the Boone Co mesonet site. We're off and running! 0.50 to 1" rainfall forecast looks pretty easy to achieve now. Someone could even overachieve if the warm front stays put.

Quite a bit of thunder here as well.

Winds have picked up with gusts 30-35 out of the SW right ahead of the low / cold frontal passage. Line of cells in Central IN looks to be the cold front which will pass thru later this afternoon. 63 / 58 imby. Need to watch for an isolated strong storm with winds being the bigger issue as the front passes your location. Event total so far here around here has been right around a half of an inch.

I made it up to 65 ahead of the front. 63 right now with heavy rain / wind as the front and line of showers comes thru. This should put down another 0.20 to 0.40" in some spots. So many folks will be in that 0.50 to 1.25"+ range after this. Another decent system! I think we'll be dry now for a good chunk of next week but cool with temps not getting to avg until probably the weekend.

Looks like CVG is going to wind up somewhere around 0.65" for the event.

Just checked and got a little over 1.60 in the gauge. Maybe a little more to add to it with the last bit on radar

.90" last 24 hrs. Need a good 7-10 day dry spell now.

Event total in my gauge from last night / today was 1.80" Plus a combo .40" from 2 days prior for a total of 2.20"!

A high school days friend of mine who lives in Ross, OH will be going to help his son as a neighbor's tree came down in the winds onto his son's new wooden fence, they also have to find a way to keep his son's dog in the yard during the clean up process.

Thankful that no one was hurt.
