Salt truck just came down again. Street is covered. I guess they knew what they were doing when they cam down before 😂. It’s really been coming down steadily here.

Good Evening and forecast seem fine from yesterday and that 10a-2pm period is never easy for snow to accumulate unless really heavy and of course today very little was falling during that time period. This evening a different story and the good thing is I won't need to shovel because Mother Nature will take of it for me this time. Where was she in January. Have not looked at any weather items today but did most of the leg work for the funeral which is on the 22nd of Feb so my son could make it down here. I may be able to keep up with posts from Les but that was always a pipe dream.

Yes had a good inch before 11a then it quit and everything melted. That is why total accumulations are tough to forecast because you must do math with 2 different times of snow falling and will never get the full amount on the ground at one time.

Grass is almost covered here. Will put down 1.5" for this event. Still snowing lightly and 31 degrees. QPF at CVG as of 7pm is 0.20" Models really did a nice job when taking a blend minus the slow start.

The next item of concern for the sucker punch is round 2 and that will be in the form of freezing drizzle tonight and in the morning so watch for a few slick spots in untreated areas. Then rain moves in during the afternoon tomorrow in the 40s so no problems from ice by then, and we get a wet Wed night. Precip should end as flurries as we turn colder on Thurs. Then, that'll be a wrap for this thread.

Looks like the advisory was reissued and now in effect until 11am this morning due to light snow and frz drizzle. 3.2" of new snow as of midnight at CVG. Wow! I was not expecting that much. Hopefully the commute into work will be okay this morning.

Yes Sir! Nice job! Seeing quite a bit of frz drzl on the way in. Interstates are just wet from what I saw. Side roads and neighborhood streets were 50 / 50.

Good Morning and here we go again. Rainfall from storm number 2 will begin later today through early Thursday. I still believe somewhere in the Ohio Valley an area of frz/rain is possible and that is near the Indy area. Will watch this develop later today but with the storm to the west a surge of warmer air further above our heads is likely but this will not help much at the surface for temps. North of that area some decent snows as well.

Fast and Furious with these storms and we are still seeing problems this morning and probably be after 10am before temps are above 32.

Speaking of frz rain with this next system, there is an MD out for Oklahoma.

0.37" total QPF at CVG.... The NAM actually didn't do too bad to be honest. Imagine that! We know it typically does overdo things but a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time.
