Congrats to the Reds for sweeping! The Tigers, meanwhile, did the opposite. :( They lose 4-1 getting swept by the White Sox. On the road to KC tomorrow night at 8:10pm. Matthew Boyd will give it a shot.

I truly feel for your Tigers, too, Bro. Wish rebuilds didn't have to take a coon's age month of Sundays so to say.

I remember the Redlegs rebuilding all those frustrating / hair pulling years under Bryan Price.

I'm calling them out. The organization that is. A rebuild my ass! 2016 was the last winning season the Tigers have had. That is unacceptable. 2019 was the 2nd worst in Tigers history with 47 wins and 114 losses/ 2003 is the #1 all time Tigers record and MLB record worst season with a pathetic 43 wins and 119 losses! :o

I know what you mean, Bro!

Growing up a Cincy fan, I wasn't even aware of the term "rebuild" re sports teams. Just enjoyed each season with those old time greats of Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Pete Rose (I've forgiven him several years ago and believe he deserves Cooperstown, while he's still alive! Other pro athletes have been offenders but are enshrined at Cooperstown!), Dave Concepcion, Joe Morgan, i.e. etc.

Castellini still needs to beef up their bullpen. It’s a very winnable division. Love the way they are playing now though!

Pittsburgh is the same way - the Pirates have had one or two decent years since the Killer Bs were in the lineup - 30 years ago! Ownership of these teams can care less about production they only care about money.

That's exactly what it is Mike. Profits and that's it. Funny thing though, if you win more games, wouldn't more people come to see you? Just a hunch.

I'd hate to leave My Tigers but I may need to become a Reds fan this year if this keeps up. Way to go Redlegs! :)

There is always room for more Red's fans! :) I admit I am a complete bandwagon fan though! Been following them since the 80s (was too young for the BRM).

My family is originally from Detroit so that's why I like a lot of the Mich teams. It's a curse I know.

Yes, what a relief it was, too, seeing Amir Garrett come through for us as Heath Hembree almost gave it away! :thumbupright:

My Dad went to 1 or 2 games at the (then) Crosley Field in the 1960s, over near the (then) Union Train Terminal (now a Cincy double museum bldg). :) I didn't start going to Reds games until the early 1970s at (then) Riverfront Stadium. :)

Funny fun fact, Mike ~~ in the late 1960s, my Mom, sister, and I were going to take a train to Evansville to visit my maternal grandmother who resided in a town just north of Evansville. While at the Union Terminal waiting for our train and while sitting at the depot diner counter, we lingered too long and missed the boarding lol. So then Dad took us to the Greater Cincy (CVG) Int'l Airport where we boarded a flight with (then) Allegheny Airlines and flew to Evansville. :thumbupleft:

Well how about that! Tigers sweep the Royals winning all 3 games of the series! 6-5 was the score from today's game. Hopefully the Tigers can use this as a spring board to get hot like the Reds are. Next up for Detroit is a road trip out West. 4 games with the LA Angels is first on the list. 9:38pm Thurs night is game 1. A new rookie I have been watching in the Tigers minor league system, Matt Manning, gets the call up to the Big Leagues for his MLB Rookie debut. The kids got a good arm. Hopefully he'll perform as good, if not better then Casey Mize. :)
