Les, are we ever going to change to snow here in Burlington? And to think the EURO had us changing to snow at 1pm. The King as been dethroned after this storm.

The NAM had it right. RGEM and CMC too. I am not shocked. We knew it was coming. It's just frustrating as hell and it's going to freeze into an unmovable glacier in the coming days. I am glad I went to the liquor store in the rain on Wed. Was a pivotal call in getting thru this system.

Light snow here, but occasional pinging still at it times. That warm tongue is stubborn! :neener:

Good Evening and the sleet is still falling. No doubt I was wrong about the sleet as I thought sooner or later we would go over to snow or stay mainly frz/rain. I was worried this morning that once you got into a certain precip type it might last a long time but this is crazy. Most of us are snow lovers but this is one heck of a winter storm so I am going to enjoy anyways.

If you are NW of that green line, you are snowing tonight. Sleeting SE of it. Freezing rain if you are SE of the blue line. Plain old rain SE of that purple zero line.

Sleetfest 2022 is still rocking in Madeira! Power is still on at our farm near Ripley and the ground is getting white per the cameras so the Sleetfest tour looks to have reached there.

Great Job Les once again leading the way. No doubt some of the models did a wonderful job with this system. I could never put my head around 12 hours of sleet. Back in the late 70's we had similar systems except we had such a cold air mass in place and we would get these systems like today that would bring moisture from the southwest to northeast but in the form of snow. Maybe next year if we get that weak El Nino.

Was flaking earlier but pinging again. Tried to shovel, forget that. Tried to see if I could get into the truck. Nope. Hope the sunlight helps a bit tomorrow.

What cluster of a storm. Still getting some sleet. Then snow. Then sleet.
