I wish you would have gotten more Charles. You need one of those good ole fashioned Nor 'Easters! It has been a while for you.

I saw tonight on the 11 o'clock WHIO wx segment that on a totals map it showed where Greenville e.g. got 4 inches.
Not bad at all for a 1st significant winter storm of the season up this way!
Darke Co. still under a Level 2 and school districts here in the county including Greenville City have a 2 hour delay for Tues.

Its ok. I am ok with that Lester. I am just as excited to see your area get a nice one as mine. I would not be here if I wasn't . it was fun reading all the reports and excitement from everyone. on a side note today is the anniversary of the start of the 96' blizzard. i know even you will not ever forget that one !

The Blizzard of '96 will be forever etched in my mind, too. I was residing at the time in Roanoke Rapids, NC not far from the VA border near the I-95 corridor and worked in custodial / maintenance at a Sleep Inn. At the height of the storm the front lobby was wall to wall guests! Hotel employees including myself stayed overnight, we all had our suitcases packed and ready because we knew the forecast, and it was like one big Blizzard "party"! all us employees along with the guests! Made some nice tips helping guests clear off their vehicles e.g. etc. A nephew of a neighboring hotel manager nearby gave carpool rides for employees to and from our hotel as he was a native of Michigan and was a seasoned veteran when it came to extreme winter driving. He and his girlfriend gave me a ride home after 2 or 3 days cooped at the hotel and then later I retrieved my car from the hotel parking lot and took it home.airwolf76 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 4:07 amIts ok.
