Really nice end to the storm as it looks beautiful but will get that last shovel in around 2pm and call it a day. This should put me in the double digits

STILL SNOWING BIG TIME here!!!! I gotta admit, when I only got 3" on the front end, 3-1/2" during the "Main Course", I really figured I would be lucky to get 8" or so. Someone else posted earlier a comment to the effect that we don't normally get the backend snows as promised on the models, and I generally agree with that. But was listening this morning to Mike McConnell on 700WLW and Jennifer Ketchmark was on. MM said looking at the radar it looks like this won't be much, and she was very certain telling him it was definitely going to be; She tossed 2-5" out there for a total from the backend, that was when I knew we were gold.

I'm sure I'll be in the double digit boat too. Neighbors are outside shoveling and clearing cars off. That'll be me in about 3 more hours.

Not the heaviest snow like you see with temps near 30 but not fluffy either. Worse part is end of the driveway where the plows throw the snow.

Ha. I think with the sleet we had crushing it down a bit this is easily over 10 inches. When was the last time we had 10" of snow in a single storm?

I mentioned it in the main January thread too. CMC and Euro aren't as impressive as the GFS but if this continues to look good tomorrow, we may have a new thread on our hands.

A few years ago we had that monday night surprise over northern kentucky with 8-10 inches. That was one where the models about 2 hours away from the storm start pounding higher totals. I went to bed expecting 2-3 inches and really was shocked when I saw that happen. Very narrow band though and folks in all other directions much less with totals

Have not looked at the models today and need a break. All I know is the pattern is still looking good and just need to find out where the energy will be located. Cold once again will not be a problem. Hopefully start taking a glance on Tuesday

That was my first 10" storm (Feb 2021) since March of 2008. The current storm is going to be the new current holder.

A steady light snow continues here but the big flakes and heavier rates are now done with this system. Little accum left in the tank now as she slowly winds down.

Heading out shortly before the winds pick up some and that part of the storm did underachieve which is a good thing imo.

Wow.... 12Z Euro has CVG getting to 32 on Sunday if we are lucky. If we see a pack refresher on Friday then we won't. Euro puts us back in the deep freeze next week lol Wow... what a pattern! This snow isn't going anywhere anytime soon what we have on the ground guys.

Looking around the world and especially Siberia and Northern Canada and still no earth shattering cold and that has been the case all season. Sure some areas -40 or so but that is normal or a tad above. Mid latitudes are reaping the benefit of this imo as the cold is spread out more and this includes Europe as well.. Will that change before winter is over and my guess is yes and that is another reason I went with a mild February.

Les hard to get a long stretch of 32 or below temps around here just because normally snow pack is not that deep and as we know a storm can come through and add just enough warm air to get above freezing. I do agree that this could be one of the longest streaks in Cvg history.

did you see what the GFS was showing for Texas later this week? it shows like 4-6" snowstorm around the Dallas area. that is crazy for down there . that is a crippling storm if that happens.

10" in 3 locations, though it is starting to drift. I'm happy with 10 and I bet we got 11 since there is ice sandwiched in the middle.
