Next is a 6 games road trip starting with 3 vs the Nationals.

A day off Mon and then Tyler Mahle takes on former Tiger Max Scherzer at 7:05 Tues.

Tigers lose the series by a score of 3-2 today. Next one is a series against the Indians in Detroit. First pitch is 7:10pm Mon night with Spencer Turnbull taking the mound.

Pitching duel in DC last night as the Redlegs eeked out a 2-1 win in their opening game against the Nationals. Suarez batting leadoff hit a towering HR and Josh Bell made it interesting in the 9th with a solo shot off Amir Garrett. Tyler Mahle with the win (3-2). Reds currently next to last place but only 4 games behind Louie.

Tigers win 1-0 and this is actually a 4 games series. We can now actually even the series at 2 a piece with a win tonight at 7:10pm. Matthew Boyd's turn on the hill.

Due to the severe weather and flooding in the DC area....the Reds and Nats were washed out yesterday. Will try game 2 again tonight at 7:05.

The guys went down 5-3 in the resumed game (from yesterday), but did take 2 out of 3 from the Gnats as they blanked 'em in the rubber match 3-0!

Next is a matinee 3 games series at Wrigley vs the Cubbies to round out the road trip.

Rookie Vladimir Gutierrez will take the mound in place of injured Wade Miley vs Adbert Alzolay at 2:20 Fri.

Tigers swept the Yankees 6-2! On Memorial Day, we start a quick 2 game series with the Brew Crew in Milwaukee. First pitch is 2:10pm as we do not yet know who the starting pitcher will be for AJ Hinch and company.

Rubber match (washOUT) is a Wed 12:35 Business Day Special as rookie Vladimir Gutierrez makes his 2nd appearance, as this time, he squares away vs Spencer Howard. Gutierrez will be filling in for Jeff Hoffman, who is on the DL.

Tigers split the 2 game series with the Brew Crew as they won last night 10-7. Next up, we head down to Chicago for a big 4 game series with the White Sox. Tonight at 8:10pm is game 1 with rookie Casey Mize (3-3) giving it a go.

It's nice to see a positive article on the Tigers for a change after their horrible month of April. May was much improved. Can they keep it rolling in June? An important 4 game series with the White Sox begins tonight. If we can actually win this series and not fall flat on our faces, then I'll get a little more excited here. We have a long road to go and it's a long season. Anyways, the positives:
