I'm having Feb 2021 flashbacks now... major pinging action when the wind gusts up.

Remember, too, that we have about 24 more hours of precipitation to go. That moisture feed is unreal. It will be cool to see how things turn out with this one. At least we weren't surprised by the WAA this time!

Long walk down the lane to the street so I'm going to take the trash cans out now while I can still push them.

Back hhome at weather command after doing some salting . East Hamilton was mostly sleet while at about central clermont to home it is still mostly FRZ and building rather quickly. THank goodness it was 60 a couple days ago as roads were mostly wet or sluchy. Going to hunker in the bunker (isn't that a dance?) the rest of the day

I’m considering shovelling all the sleet that is pouring from the sky. I’m afraid it’ll be too heavy to lift if I don’t do it multiple times.

Awesome to hear! Now the storm really begins for your neck of the woods. If you are snow at this point and stay all snow the rest of the storm you will definitely not be disappointed.

This seems like a dumb question, but also an important distinction when you’re talking about huge differences in a 20 or 30 mile swath…when people refer to “NW of 71” or “SE of 71”, are we talking about where 71 shoots off of 75 in KY, or somewhere north of Cincy? I’m in Norwood basically on 71 where it runs north/south, so this particular language is always confusing to me!

Thanks for all that you all do here - I really enjoy reading all of the posts even though I don’t have much to contribute!

My neighbor just got home from work very early today. Good move to do it now as things will continue to go downhill esp once the heavier returns arrive.

Basically draw a line from Louisville to Columbus. That's kind of how I-71 runs. It's just used as a general marker and you can picture it in your mind as the row of counties on either side of the interstate as being the I-71 corridor so it will be NW of that line. Like Dayton, Indiana counties, Butler Co. But Hamilton and Warren are part of the I-71 corridor to me. Hope this makes some kind of sense Gail lol

Not that it matters, but the GFS run is giving us a foot. Steady as steady can be!

Sleet has been mixing in for a while. Now got a predominate bouncing going on so thinking it's mainly sleet falling.

I know you all probably want a measurement reading of the goings-on here in Greenville, but I'll probably wait until sometime tomorrow morning after the storm winds down and exits from up this way. :) With today's gusts between 30 and 40 mph at times I probably wouldn't be able to get an accurate reading anyway today. ;)

Currently light in intensity and 21 degrees here. Progged for around 24 this afternoon.
