Just came in from mowing as much grass as I could since you’re going to need an air boat in the coming days out there. Clouded back over but there was a pretty good stretch of almost clear skies so ghave to think the energy is there. Was a windy time out there too.

I decided to wait until after the flood to mow. It'll probably be a jungle by then. Still have good shear, CAPE, and the VTP is 1 here to 7 over SC Indiana. We are in that watch and wait mode right now. I was just outside and the wind, at least here, has temp relaxed quite a bit

The leading edge of the Main line is from SW Lower Mich down into NW IN thru Eastern ILL and into SE MO. Super cells are over Eastern AR, West TN now getting into SW KY.

The high risk is legit. Tornados and tornado warnings lighting up in Arkansas and Tennessee. I pray they weaken before they reach our area. More so Illinois at this point than Tennessee. Watching Ryan Hall and it is getting pretty bad.

Seeing some cells right ahead of the main line in extreme SE ILL. Let's see what happens with those too.

I am watching him too. Watch SW KY and SE ILL / SW IN. Those will be the ones for my hood potentially later should anything get going ahead of the main line, which we do not want to see. QLCS spin up's are bad enough. These super cells, the ole loaners are bad news tonight. Wait till the nocturnal LLJ kicks in...

SPC mesopage tonight shows a concerning set up. As the primary low occludes over Wisc, a new weak low of 1000 MB can be seen over the boot hill of MO area. This should help with the spin tonight and I think these tornadoes will be going on for a while longer. I hope they congeal into a line before getting here but we don't yet know what will happen.

CAPE is still at 1000 J/KG which is enough with these dynamics. 45 knot shear, 400 for helicity... supercell comp index of 12.

Yikes. Hoping it calms a bit. Watching Ryan Hall.

Thankfully my sister/brother in law are at my mom's tonight. She had back surgery a week ago and would not be able to navigate steps safely on her own.
