What a nail biter Game 1 with Boston was as the Redlegs were up 8-0 in the 7th and then 9-0 in the 8th and from there their relief pitching through the 9th inning gave up 8 runs to the Red Sox as though it was like a candy store raid!!
Thankfully the guys were able to hold on and edge 'em 9-8!
Among the action Redleg shortstop Jose Barrero had a late inning grand slam!

Got drilled again 14-6. We can split the series 2 games a piece with a win today at 1:10pm. Pitcher for Detroit TBD.

Tigers won 3-2 today splitting the series 2-2 with the Rangers. We are off on Thursday. The Tigers go to Chicago to face the White Sox at 8:10pm Friday. Pitchers TDB.

Tied 2-2 into the 8th and the Redlegs gave up 6 runs as the Red Sox won 8-2!
Cincy took 2 out of 3 from Boston.
Next is a 7 game home stand starting with 4 vs the Brewers.

That may have been the most exciting game here in years. The new prospect made it to the majors yesterday and we are talking about De La Cruz. Agreed - have not seen that level of enthusiasm at GABP since Bruce hit that game winning home run to clinch the division many many many moons ago. De La Cruz fever has arrived! So very exciting re both rookies Elly De La Cruz and Andrew Abbott e.g.!!
The other night Abbott held the 1st place Brew Crew to just 1 hit as he and the crew shut 'em out 2-0!
Its fun this contest vs the rival Cards and Cubbies e.g.!

ITS LIKE A 2023 NLCS AS THE GUYS TAKE ANOTHER FROM THE DODGERS 8-6 AND WIN THE SERIES!!
Hopefully a SWEEP tomorrow and that Graham Ashcraft can re-find his groove vs Clayton Kershaw in a Business Day Special rubber match at 12:35 Thurs!!

Tigers game last night in Philly was PPD due to poor visibility thanks to the Canadian smoke. The Tigers were supposed to have a day off today but instead they will try and make up this game at 6:05pm. Tyler Holton gets the call.
