What a nail biter Game 1 with Boston was as the Redlegs were up 8-0 in the 7th and then 9-0 in the 8th and from there their relief pitching through the 9th inning gave up 8 runs to the Red Sox as though it was like a candy store raid!!

Thankfully the guys were able to hold on and edge 'em 9-8! Among the action Redleg shortstop Jose Barrero had a late inning grand slam!

Tigers won 3-2 today splitting the series 2-2 with the Rangers. We are off on Thursday. The Tigers go to Chicago to face the White Sox at 8:10pm Friday. Pitchers TDB.

That may have been the most exciting game here in years. The new prospect made it to the majors yesterday and we are talking about De La Cruz. His first hit was fun to watch as he hit a high fast ball and drilled it to right center field for a double and this kid is fast as well.

Agreed - have not seen that level of enthusiasm at GABP since Bruce hit that game winning home run to clinch the division many many many moons ago. De La Cruz fever has arrived! Almost reminds me of when Austin Kearns debuted.

Tigers game last night in Philly was PPD due to poor visibility thanks to the Canadian smoke. The Tigers were supposed to have a day off today but instead they will try and make up this game at 6:05pm. Tyler Holton gets the call.
