Just a few sprinkles moving thru which I had mentioned earlier from the weak system passing by to our north. Not a big deal and we are still in the 40s so no problems.

Clouds this morning will give way to some partial sunshine today as temps soar into the 50s. Probably the 40s for northern posters. Then our rain maker for tonight and Sunday which should bring around a quarter of an inch for many. Heavier amounts in our S and SE counties.

I had 8.5 - 9.0 inches of snow with a map like that. Crazy!

No doubt Doug! About 7" IMBY for the month. CVG has had 6.5" for January which is only 0.1" below normal for the month. We've been lucky for sure. Thanks to that Sunday event of course and of course you scored 3-4" with the nail biter system.

For January standards, it really is gorgeous out there. The wind isn't bad at all. I've got 50 degrees here already. CVG had 48 as of the noon reading. Going to grill a ribeye steak for dinner later on.

52 now... we should make it to the mid 50s this afternoon... an overachiever temp wise. I know Trev is loving it as long as he isn't working of course.

Is a beauty today. These warm temps should help keep pavement temps near freezing or above if we should get any freezing drizzle for monday

Got the grill going and cold beer. Nice evening ahead of the incoming rain maker. Doing some golden potatoes first before the steaks go on.

Very interesting compilation Lisa!
I was 15 yrs old and remember the fun of watching road graders helping out plow trucks e.g. along Route 127 (Pleasant Ave) which my folks, sister and myself resided on in Hamilton, OH.
Currently 43 here in G'ville and progged for around 40 Sun morning.

Howdy who-dey'rs, cold 20ish degrees in KC at game time with a 60 % chance of a Bengals win. Footballs will be falling out of the air at a heavy rate with hundreds of yards piling up on the ground. Expect many delays with multiple challenge flags on the more elevated of plays. The NFL has issued a No Smoking advisory to Joe Burrow after the game

LOL! Great post Bgoney!
Well... so much for my 1/4" of rain call as I only got 0.03"
CVG picked up 0.05". We still run the risk of a shower with the cold frontal passage later but not a big deal. The wind is noticeable today and temps will hang out in the 40s until the front passes thru later on. The heaviest moisture fell SE of Cincy, which we knew going in. Models did horrible at QPF with this system, but the Euro was closer then any model as it always had lighter amounts anyway.

Same here as I got 0.07 as a total. Even Lexington will only get a little over 1/2 inch as the system is moving quickly off to the east

You can see where the front is on radar as denoted by that light band of showers running from Toledo SE to Indy and points SW from there. The temp contrast is pretty neat with the 40s here and St Louis in the mid 20s.

Could have been a worse January or winter, believe it or not, Many major city's along the East coast are breaking records with the latest of no measureable snow recorded in those locations. Yes , that means not even a tenth of an inch. And that will continue for many into FEB

No doubt! The I-95 Snow Weenies along the East Coast and much of the Mid Atlantic has been terrible. You can read their daily sorrows on American Wx.

I hate to hear / read that an athlete like Joe B enjoys having victory smokes. Not good on the cardio pulmonary e.g.
Lost 2 great uncles due to smoking, one from emphysema and the other from lung cancer, were both brothers.
Currently 36 here in G'ville.

At least it isn't a habit like a 2 pack a day kind of thing. I'm glad I quit when I did. It's been so long now I don't even remember what year it was now.

Way I understand is he only smokes a cigar when they win something like a division or championship. My dad died at age 51 from smoking and even though I smoke some as a teenager I quit. I will have a cigar here and there but that is about it for me.
