milanmike wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 9:06 pm Hello! I’m mike in Milan. I have been enjoying the conversation all week. I have been warning everyone all week about the storm. Most think I’m crazy because TV Mets have been saying snow totals of 1-3 inches.
Hey Mike! That 1-3" is going to bust badly IMO. Glad you're here to see what is really going on!

I've been driving north all day, so I haven't been able to post or check in much. I'm on 75 in Chattanooga, and I'm trying to figure out if I can get through the mountains and across the Kentucky line before the change over happens. Any updated thoughts on when the freezing line might cross down here?

Our low is now at 1000 MB over Detroit. 1004 MB Low over Eastern Virginia. We talked about the slower phasing of this system to get that further SE track that we needed. Oh 33 / 30 and snowing. It's almost Christmas! This is the best Christmas ever IMO for a snow weenie like me. It don't get any better for our area!

You don’t want to get stuck on Jellico Mtn, I know that for sure.

Jellico is bad on a beautiful sunny day. Have traveled that route at least 30 times in the past 3 1/2 years

Get a motel room somewhere, ride this one out there. You'll be getting up here well after the worst has started.

Thanks, Les. Looks like I probably shouldn't risk it. Think I'll stop in Knoxville
