Lucking out here. Some heavy rain at the moment but no lightening and little wind up to now.

So the mesocyclone passed right overhead but fortunately no tornado. Did have a strong wind gust and a burst of rain and thunder. Some damage reported not too far to my SW but my hood lucked out.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Clark County in west central Ohio...
Northern Greene County in west central Ohio...
* Until 345 PM EST.
* At 305 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Beavercreek,
moving northeast at 45 mph. This storm has a history of producing
a tornado and could develop one again.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
* Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Fairborn, Xenia, Yellow
Springs, Wright-Patterson Afb, Northridge, Cedarville, Enon, South
Charleston, Wilberforce, Harmony, Lisbon, Brighton, South Vienna,
Catawba, Clifton, Green Meadows and Hustead.

Southeastern Miami County in west central Ohio...
* Until 345 PM EST.
* At 312 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near New Carlisle, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include...
New Carlisle, St. Paris, Brown, Christiansburg, North Hampton,
Tremont City, Thackery, Terre Haute, Haven View, State Route 41 at
State Route 235 and Dialton.

Hi Mike, yes, thankful that a lot of the Tri-state and MV "dodged the bullet."
I saw this report from Germantown ...

LOU has issued a high wind warning for their CWA until 7pm. This is for 50-60 mph wind gusts since skies are sunny down there. Same for my hood with regards to sunny skies. Winds 40-50 mph after the line of storms moves thru is likely for the rest of the daylight hours.

These storms were no joke, another hour or two later in the day and or sunshine and it would have been substantial. Pretty impressive nonetheless.

Tornado warning for my area. Sirens are going off and the phone went crazy with the alerts. Looks to be pushing up from the s/w of me.
Edit: Looks like we got two separate warnings here in franklin county

Saw some pretty good damage pics posted on Facebook from up in Butler Co. near the Madison Township area. NWS ILN will probably have to do a storm damage survey tomorrow to see if it was a tornado or just straight line winds.

Pouring rain with wind up to 40mph gusts now. Didn't have these type of wind with the warnings earlier.
