Always nice when the boys are on the same page as us! :)

.LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Bermuda high to remain in place across the East Coast through much
of the upcoming week with the Ohio Valley remaining on the western
periphery of this. Meanwhile, models continue to trend weaker with
the upper level ridge over the eastern CONUS heading into next week
as an upper level low/trough progresses slowly east across the
central CONUS. This will help keep the Ohio Valley in a persistent
overall south to southwest flow pattern.

In the warm and moist pattern, both the GFS and ECMWF ensemble means
are indicating PWs up around 150 percent of normal or so through
much of the long term period. Better forcing will be somewhat
dependent on the eventual timing of the upper level low/trough to
our west and any potential mid level energy associated with it.
Nonetheless, given the warm and moist airmass, expect to see an
increasing chance of diurnally enhanced scattered showers and
thunderstorms through much of the week. Temperatures will remain
above normal with daytime highs in the 80s through the week.

Both the NAM and GFS showing increased storm action tomorrow afternoon, then daily likelihoods for pretty much the next week. Get your grass cut today, ladies and gents.

As for amounts, the GFS likes a good 1.5-2” by this time next weekend. I wouldn’t be surprised if some areas actually see closer to 4” during this time due to thunderstorms.

Humidity ramps up later today and rest of week as advertised along with very widely scattered showers , maybe a t- shower through Wednesday. Not impressed with amounts and coverage for ILN region , should be a bit better just to our West and SW. I Like Thursday through Saturday better with the upper low moving closer to the region making for coverage and maybe an actual
thunderstorm or two

Had fun fishing yesterday with the kiddos! We went to Rocky Fork out in the Hillsboro area. Caught 3 keeper saugeye, one short had to throw it back, a nice bluegill, a crappie, and a nice perch too. It was enough meat for the freezer!

Going to try and get the grass mowed early and get my fireworks bought too. Rain, please stay away for today, but you know my luck, it's like washing your car! I'll see rain today no doubt.

I still really do think some isolated locations will near or reach 4” by the end of next weekend.

I've had a shower / downpour occur already this morning. Radar shows a break coming but if more pop and develop from the SW and move our way, more downpours are probably likely as the afternoon wears on. Had 77 for a high now down to 72 after the shower moved thru.

Good Afternoon and looks like a week that can produce rainfall but amounts much harder to determine. Afternoons and early evenings looks like the best time to get some showers and thundershowers through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday we may get a better shot of more widespread rains. I would probably go 1-2 inches but if you get under a thundershower in the afternoon they can produce over an inch in a short period of time. Hope everyone gets their share of rainfall because heading into summer you never know when the rains decide to stay away.

Got my fireworks tucked away safely, nice and dry! No mowing to be had for today though. Had two downpours thus far so mowing is out for the foreseeable future based on the forecast.
