Absolute Vorticity

It's turning out to be a nice day minus CMH on north. All will have a nice one tomorrow then we all see a shot at rain Thursday. Fri will be a cooler day with a nice weekend on tap for Mom. The upper low to our south, will come back north to impact us early next week. A cooler, cloudier, and showery early next week pattern can be expected. Then another decent front around the weekend after Mom's Day.

Finally.... in the extended range, do the tropics start to spin up something, which would mean much warmer wx, middle to maybe upper 80s and a dry spell thanks to the Bermuda High? We may see this pattern develop beyond mid May so stay tuned for that.

CVG reached 69, DAY 70 and CMH 59 today.

Good morning folks! Upper 40s to low 50s this morning will allow us to hit the mid 70s today! A slim shower chance is possible late today into this evening but most will remain dry. A better chance comes tomorrow with a cold front (still scattered though) then again early next week with the upper low. Fri thru Mother's Day weekend looks good! 60s Fri and the 70s this weekend. Lows in the 40s will warm back into the 50s.

Happy belated Birthday to you Les! I took off work Monday and Tuesday to spend some time with my wife for her birthday, she's another Cinco de Mayo baby. I attempted to mow last night, I'm back to needing an air boat in my back yard so I stopped there; I was seeing major mud stripes on the parts I did mow. Going to try to finish this evening if I can. Then rinse and repeat either Friday or Saturday. Went to the zoo yesterday, rain and chilly clouds got out of here just in nick of time, we got there around 1pm and had very nice weather.

Low to mid 70s for most at this time with a nice afternoon in progress. A band of light sprinkle activity is showing up to our SW on radar, but I do wonder if any of it is actually reaching the ground. NE wind right now so my guess would be no.

I would like to order up more days like today. It was lovely!

CVG got to 75, DAY 74 and CMH 73 today.

Latest HRRR qpf for later today. Mostly an event for counties bordering the river and southward with lighter amounts north. A few isolated heavier showers and amounts, otherwise light scattered showers

The start time maybe a little earlier too then originally expected (at least in my mind) per radar and satellite observations.

Nothing but some much needed virga passing overhead here on the east side this morning

So far, just sprinkles here which is good. On my lunch break, I got some of the plants in and I'd like to finish up after work if it isn't raining. Otherwise, I should be able to finish it up tomorrow.

Good morning! Mid 40s this morning with give way to the mid 60s this afternoon. 40 ish in the morning with the low 70s Sat afternoon. Mother's Day is awesome with lows around 60 and highs in the mid to upper 70s! Rain chances return along with temps around 80 for the 1st half of next week.

I had 45 this morning. A nice breeze today with dry air in place. A bit of a nip in the air the next couple of mornings, but pleasant afternoons for sure are in store. Enjoy friends!
