yesterday morning I went fishing and morel hunting. did not find 1 morel. was very disappointed because I know I was in the right area and had found some just 2 years ago there ( maybe I missed my chance ) ? but I did catch 10 fish since I was right near the stream. the weather was nice. mostly sunny and 65 degrees with low humidity. just a beautiful time of year to get out before the heat sets in.

I did not get the time to go this spring with a fishing tournament, and a 50th Wedding Aniv. Party to help plan and attend to. But a friend of ours where we go hunt brought us some yesterday. Our season is winding down locally.

Morning folks! cloudy now but we will turn sunny later with a nice afternoon on tap. Mid 70s should do it. Going with U70s Wed and L80s Thurs. All wonderful looking days!!! Then Fri into the weekend begins rain and t-storm chances. Cannot rule out strong or severe storms, esp on Mother's Day when a cold front is progged to come thru. Timing still uncertain with the front or does it even linger into Monday? So severe confidence is low on exactly when.

Sorry for the lack of posts today guys. Busy working and went thru an internet / network upgrade here at home too. Anyway... a nice afternoon in progress. Temps should drop quick after sunset so it may feel cool tonight if you're out and about. Jackets likely required.

Good morning to you all! 50 here this morning as of 7am. Another gorgeous day on tap. 75 to 80 is a good range for most locations. Lower 80s tomorrow then we get wet.

12Z GFS continues to show on and off rain chances Fri - Mon of next week. Then high pressure keeps us dry until yep, you guessed it.. next weekend! We're on a run of not having nice weather on weekends.

12Z Euro is a little different. POPS are still needed Fri and Sat but it actually has a dry Mother's Day. Wouldn't that be nice? I'm not banking on that right now though.

Good morning! Low 80s today and the only day in the 80s expected for the next 10+ days. Still seeing the highest chances for rain tomorrow, fairly decent Sat then dry now on mother's Day! GFS has come around to the Euro idea, so some nice news there! Upper 70s expected for the big day too under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Small POPS needed on Mon. Continued 70s next week with another front next Friday on this run of the GooFuS.

Good Morning and a nice morning though some high clouds moving in. The models over the past several weeks have been mainly on the high side in terms of rainfall but once we get closer to an event the amounts come down. We will see over the next few days though the gfs seems to be heading towards the Euro and moving out rainfall quicker this weekend. If we can get a general 1 inch of rainfall for most folks that would be nice. Once you start missing out on rain this time of year it can lead into a short term drought in the early summer which is bad because you have the greatest amount of sunshine. So if we keep getting that 1 inch of rain a week and continue with the temps being moderate we should be fine.

Agreed Tim... we're in fine shape precip wise. The 70s will help retain moisture versus having a big string of 80s. I like the pattern we are in personally. Not hot... good to get things done!

Looks like many of us are in SLGT risk for Sunday. Maybe an MCS type system dropping down.

Good Morning Les and a quick heavy shower this morning with 1/10 already in just a few minutes. The atmosphere is rather loaded so I would not be surprised this afternoon to see quite a bit of action. Severe very unlikely but some heavier rains no doubt.

Good morning Tim! I've had a few drops, that's been it so far. Rain chances to me look low / scattered until peak heating when we should have 60-70% coverage. Same expected for tomorrow. Some folks will get hammered others not as much. Some folks may even get missed but hopefully everyone can see something on one of the days. I still like a dry Mother's Day. Likely action with a cold front Sun night into early Mon then we are nice and dry next week with 70s for highs, 50s for lows. Looking gorgeous!
