Man, what a nail biter today as the Redlegs took 2 out of 3 vs the Cubbies and Nick Castellanos iced the cake with a HR in the 10th inning to edge 'em 13-12!!

A day off Mon and then a 2 games 2nd inter league series of the season (this time) vs the White Sox to round out the home stand.

Redlegs split 2 with the Chisox and edged / blanked 'em 1-0 in 10 innings!

Joey Votto fractured his left thumb when he was hit by a pitch from White Sox left-hander Dallas Keuchel in the fourth inning Wednesday. He'll be sidelined for about 3 to 4 weeks. Prayers / thoughts with Votto for a speedy recovery.

Next is a 10 games road trip starting with a 3rd inter league series of 3 games vs the Indians in Cleveland for a next round of the Ohio Cup.

The Redlegs have been trying to have some command over the Indians and White Sox i.e. They'll start another series of the Ohio Cup via the Tribe on Mother's Day weekend in Cleveland.

If you want some added cheer, Bro, Cincy is in an interesting heat of battle with their division.

Tigers game also canceled for today and re-scheduled. From Detroit:

DETROIT -- Sunday’s series finale between the Tigers and Twins has been postponed due to rain. They’ll play it on Friday, July 16, as part of a split doubleheader beginning at 2:10 p.m. ET at Comerica Park.

Monday is an off day so the next game now won't be until Tuesday May 11th when KC comes to Detroit. 7:10pm is first pitch. No starting pitchers have been determined at this time.
