My gauge picked up .40" from shortly after 11 o'clock into the noon hour. :) Haven't had any thunder here.

Started to sprinkle as I walked on the parking lot to the bldg where I got my 1st dose of the 2 part Moderna. Then light rained during my time in the processing, then after getting home had a downpour. :)

Currently 54 here in G'ville.

When is it going to stop raining? I'm trying to pottytrain our new foster puppy and it's impossible in the rain. (Husband and I volunteer with an animal rescue.)

Event total at CVG is 0.71". The rain is done minus our Southern counties and it will be moving out this morning. Look for some afternoon sunshine as well... sooner for folks to the north. Showers return Sunday with heavier rains likely on Monday. Lingering rain on Tues then more by Thurs of next week as our active pattern kicks into high gear. Temp wise... U50s to around 60 today, L to mid 50s tomorrow and in the 40s Sun and Mon. U50s to L60s Tues and Wed then back to the 40s again by Thurs.

Longer term still looks like a shot of cold air by the end of next week / next weekend as spring officially begins. Don't see any snow at this time, but a period of below avg temps with frosts / freezes at night is still possible on the guidance.

12Z NAM brings in a brief period of sleet on the leading edge of the precip shield Mon morning. Something to watch on the models today and this weekend for a touch of frozen precip to start. 0.87" of precip falls on Monday per this run at CVG.

Looks like the 12Z GFS is also showing the sleet to begin the Monday rain event. Interesting... :) Total precip at CVG is only 0.47" on this run.

At 78-84 hours, I know ya gotta take the NAM with a grain of salt, however it does look interesting up this way for Monday morning. 2m temps around 31 with 0.30" liquid and 850 temps of +5.5. Fortunately the ground temps should be above freezing so not expecting any major impacts.

Yeah... in no way do I expect problems, but some frozen precip in the morning is gaining steam. GFS's 2M temps are similar to the NAM. Canadian is warmer on this run. About half of the GEFS members are showing it also leading support to the OP. GFS V16... we may as well use that model now since it will become the new GFS on St. Patrick's Day, is a bit warmer then the OP GFS / NAM but does still show a brief period of sleet before the rain mainly N of the river.

12Z Euro is coming in colder. It has 2M temps even a tad below freezing at CVG when the precip begins. If we see this trend continue, sleet needs to be added to the forecast at least for the Metro / Tri-state area on north and east bound for Monday. The further NE you are, the more cold air you'll have to work with. Again... not expecting problems, but a brief period of sleet then rain on Monday IMO is a decent call right now. Wow... on this Euro run even by early afternoon, CVG is only at 36 degrees with light rain. An Interesting run for our I-70 Crew here. The good news is that the low is weakening as it moves in so that allows the cold air to hang on longer though due to weaker WAA. Less QPF too... only a 1/2" total at CVG but with highs in the mid to upper 30s if this Euro is correct, will make for a raw, nasty day! DAY and CMH get about 0.15 to 0.25" worth of precip.

A chance of frz rain mixed at times with plain rain here in Darke Co on Mon AM. Thankful that'll be inconsequential due to the mild temps of late.

Currently 50 here in G'ville.
