Re: April Weather Discussion
CVG reached 66, DAY 59 and CMH 61 today. Now that's more like a SPRINGtime feel!

Re: April Weather Discussion
I hit 67 today and it was a good drying out day after the AM clouds and rain departed. A cool and cloudy day tomorrow so no good, but Sat and Sun should help. Gonna do mine Sun afternoon me thinks.

Re: April Weather Discussion
Good morning all! Upper 30s to start the day, mid to upper 40s to end it. Skies will remain cloudy with perhaps a few peaks of sun late in the day. Skies will clear and it'll be another cold one tonight with another freeze warning in place. U20s to the L30s for most folks. After a frosty start, a lovely Sat afternoon with temps in the 50s and plenty of sunshine. On Sunday, lows in the 30s, highs in the 60s with sun.
By Mon afternoon, rain showers and some storms will move back into the picture ahead of a cold front. Highs in the 70s are expected. We will need to keep that one eye open for severe wx also. SPC has us outlooked at Day 4 (Monday). Behind that system another temp drop into the 50s and 60s with lows in the 30s. Next system is due up by the end of the week. In what form and how long will it last remains to be seen. Low confidence Good Friday to Easter Sunday forecast at this time.

I hope you don't mind me borrowing this Trev.

Here’s a map of tornado data put together by Storm Chaser Adam Lucio. Give him a follow! He’s a cool dude and he knows his stuff.

Yesterday afternoon from 3:49 to 3:52 CDT an EF1 tornado touched down in my Mom's hometown of Princeton, IN north of Evansville and did damage through 8 blocks of northern / eastern Princeton and not far from where my Mom, her siblings and their widowed mother resided. Thankfully no injuries or deaths. Prayers and thoughts with those in their cleanup and recovery efforts.

Re: April Weather Discussion
45 as of 4pm at CVG. Just a gloomy, cool, and breezy day today. I did see one glimpse of the sun though.

Re: April Weather Discussion
I had a nice frost also! I got down to 29 this morning, CVG 31 I believe. A nice day today after the cool start. Sunday isn't bad either once the warm front moves thru early in the day. Monday afternoon and evening will be when we need to keep that one eye open. Esp for folks SE of I-71 in my opinion.

Re: April Weather Discussion
Frost advisories and freeze warnings are out again tonight for the Eastern Third of the CWA. This does include CMH. DAY and CVG Metros are not.

Re: April Weather Discussion
41 this morning at CVG and IMBY thanks to clouds keeping temps up. The warm front is coming into the area now which is the reason for the clouds. Airmass is dry but a sprinkle or light shower may occur in isolated fashion early on today but otherwise, a nice day with temps in the low 60s this afternoon. Still watching for the severe threat, mainly SE of I-71 for Mon afternoon and evening.

Re: April Weather Discussion
Good Morning and love the year to date precip totals. Then if you look at last year to see where the totals were you can get a better ideal of some of the harder hit areas in terms of drought. We know the southwest and the plains are dry and hopefully over the next few weeks that pattern shapes up better for those areas to get some needed rainfall before summer decides to push in as always during May. Locally we are good and do we continue with just normal rainfall through June. If so then getting a decent drought during the summer is much harder to achieve but like most summers there will be that 2-3 week period of no rainfall but that is not a drought just a normal patter we see most summers.
Maybe by next weekend spring will finally take hold and the frosty mornings should be a memory until October.

Skies are trying to become a little more partly cloudy now. Would like to see a little sun to help out with the temps today.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day! Got the lawn cut for the first time and it looks awesome!
Until the dome closes of course.
Anyway, U50s to L60s across the region for temps at this hour with a nice southerly breeze. A nice April day folks!
This is the first dry weekend we have had in the last 6 weeks.

Re: April Weather Discussion
65 at CVG today, same at my hood. Radar has showers, aloft, but too much dry air so nothing is hitting the ground. At least here... A nice evening out there!

Re: April Weather Discussion
Goods morning all! No changes to the call. We are still looking at strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening with the highest chance SE of I-71. About a 50 / 50 chance that Cincy gets rain. Some of you to the west may not even see a thing. Thurs and Good Fri are nice days after we warm back up. Rain and storms are possible Fri night and at times this weekend, including Easter Sunday. We will know more timing wise once we get closer.

Re: April Weather Discussion
Wall to wall sunshine and 75 down here as of 2pm at CVG. A little CAPE starting to show up along and SE of I-71. Shear is good, and lapse rates are steep. We'll see if we can get some more CAPE. CU growing over IN as well as a few showers. The cap might be starting to erode some to the West.
