Yep. My Mom has been outstanding through the whole thing. I learned the hard way to take it easy. I tried drinking one cup of coffee this morning black coffee and that came back up. Probably too much acid. I am keeping food down right now, but I am eating very small portions. When you're in pain, you just don't feel hungry. Had to take another pain pill too this afternoon. Ugh... I'm just keeping myself hydrated as best I can. Sprite and ginger ale (esp ginger ale) is good at settling your stomach. The Dr said I could eat what I wanted too, but if you have a problem, stay away from that particular food for a week then try again. I can't have any baths though. Showers are fine. The stitches are made with skin glue so after a couple of weeks, the glue comes off on its own and the stitches just pop right out. You don't have to go back into the Dr's Office to get the stitches removed, so that's a good thing.MVWxObserver wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 5:04 pmThank you, Les!tron777 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 4:36 pm Prayers granted Bro! I've been having some issues too since November. I had surgery yesterday to have my gull bladder removed. Still in pain today though. I took a couple of pain pills last night so I could sleep. Trying to get by on only Tylenol today. My tunny hurts on the left side pretty bad. That is where they took the gull bladder out. I have 4 different intensions, Some on my tummy and also near where the gull bladder was and liver.
God bless you, too, and praying for you a complete and smooth recovery, bro. So are you only allowed soft foods for a while during your recovery period? Is your Mom able to stop by occasionally to help you with any tasks? I've heard that holding a bed pillow against your torso while trying to get up out of a chair slowly helps an incision or incisions to not feel nearly as bad in that kind of position because a pillow can act like a padded buffer against one's body e.g. Prayers granted to you, too, and my heart goes out to you, Les. Prayerfully your Mom can give you sponge baths and for any gauze / bandage dressing / wound salve changes. There's also aerosol waterless shampoo varieties available.
I hope and pray that you can get back to your normal self too Bro. It sounds like you've been having quite the ordeal too.
