Rain arrived on schedule, scattered through CVGland. Noonish still looks like things start clearing out from SW to NE, with scattered showers hanging on to our east and towards Cbus

Just a hundredth or two here and at CVG overnight. Just got clipped by the first round. Awaiting that batch of light rain from the LOU area to get in here. So models showing light amounts for CVG in that 0.25" or less range should come out on top barring a t-storm or two popping up. Starting this weekend thru about the middle of next week, U80s to around 90 is possible so more contest days are likely ahead before we cool down towards the end of next week as we talked about yesterday.

I am glad to see some much needed rain for folks in Butler and Warren counties this morning. You guys were actually drier than I was. Rooting for you CVG folks to cash in some on that batch coming up from LOU this morning. May see some pop up development this afternoon for some.

Finally seeing some steadier rains now. The "meat and potatoes" of this system is now moving into the Metro. Heaviest rains still over KY counties S of the Metro area.

we had a pop-up shower last night that put down about .69" and the thundershower this AM brought an additional 1.75". will probably end up at 2.5" in a 24 hour period. we needed it...but now its time to backwash and rince the pool filter with all the extra (free) water in there.

Normal highs and lows are now slowly going back the other way. We've maxed out at 86 / 66 for CVG norms and now it's 85 / 65! Losing on avg 2-3 mins of daylight per day as well.

12Z GFS shows some good things happening. Kind of like what it has been showing for the last couple of days. I am talking longer term. As discussed, we should get a cool down sometime in the late Aug to early Sept period. Then, the tropics look to continue to deliver storms and the next one comes up from the Caribbean into the S Gulf at the end of the GFS run. As we roll into Labor Day weekend. If correct, and why wouldn't it be? (Seeing tropical activity, not necessarily their depicted location). I suspect another warm up thanks to the tropics. We should cool down and stay there once the tropics slow down. Mid to late Sept sometime, if not October is my guess.

Ok, so I went looking for the 16 day temp page.I have not used it in forever. I found it no longer exist. This is what is in it's place. :) Are you guys using the new page or is there something else out there. I went to the PSU page and got the 7 days. But was just wondering.

Since I have Accuwx Pro, I had no idea that this product had been retired. Was a great resource esp for the GFS raw text data already converted over and everything. Was very user friendly. It's a shame that is gone. :(

I loved that site and used it frequently - sad to see it go. I use weathermodels.com for the long range temp and precip forecast.
