Yes it’s very hard to predict how far the mixing line can go. Models never handle it well. Happens all the time up where I’m at in northeast Ohio even. Especially with southern storms.

I'm back! I just got done plowing when we had the first round. I had some pingers briefly too and that is because the precip lightened up. The donut hole came thru so I plowed when it occurred. As soon as I finished up, the accumulating snow began again. Better returns are coming in. Dynamic cooling. :) Everything is covered and in a couple of hours, you probably won't even be able to tell that I had plowed.

just started back up here in Colerain. Snow. Fine flakes, coming down at a pretty good clip. I pulled back my tarp and cleared the first round off of my porch so dogs could go outside. First batch was very powdery, easy to broom right off. Let's see what round two does.

Silent out now and snowing at a good clip. I have no idea how to judge moderate or heavy but it's accumulating quickly.

Moderate snow is now overtaking the area and it'll be heavy at times for the next several hours. Enjoy my friends! We have waited a long time for this!

Les looking good and you can see the radar getting busy. Always going to be busts with storms and some folks get angry. Models are just a snapshot of what may happen and there is so much more than models. Use them as tools and then make a forecast. If the forecast busts well guess what it won't be the first bust and won't be the last. Certain models do better in certain patterns and met's along with forecasters will do the same. Still plenty of time left in this storm so I say enjoy what you have until we get that next system to forecast.

Boone Co KY under a level 2 as of 3:30pm It is a rare to see a 3. I have seen it a couple of times though. This storm might potentially do it. We'll see!
