Monroe currently has a dry spot over us. Nothing coming down right now but very light flurries.

18Z NAM looks great with that low track that I mentioned above.. CVG gets tickled with sleet barely and the dry slot narrowly misses us to the south. Wonderful back end snows too. The call looking golden at this time. QPF for CVG is 1.32"

Not snowing here yet. There are good returns overhead but I'm still waiting for the column to saturate. I'm encouraged though by the nice returns to my west about a county row to my north. Once the column is saturated I will see decent banding.

Update to that. As soon as I posted that, I'm now starting to see the first flakes so the column has begun to saturate.

Les, I see that on radar. Not to be negative in anyway but there seems to be more low intensity areas showing up on radar through southern IN and my quess is that is all part of the course of this storm?

Love the ducks
Thank you, :) we have a couple ducks that come visit every spring on top of the pool cover...so we figured it was fitting

Snow is a lot more scattered than I expected. In a heavy band right now but I feel like if we keep missing this pockets of heavy snow the overall total will be less than expected. OR If we end up getting the heavy bands it could be much more than expected.

Radar filled in over southern / central Darke Co. but so far not seeing any actual flakes here in south Greenville.

My Dad and I went to Kroger and it was the first time that, being there, the whole cart corral inside the store was empty. Thankfully a Kroger employee in the parking lot gave us a cart as we were heading to the store. :)

Love it Les and did you see the returns from St.Louis. Very heavy snow going around that area
Yep! My Aunt in St Charles reported thundersnow in the last hour. They are getting 2"+ per hour rates.
If any of y'all are on Reddit, there are some nice pictures of the Arch, the old courthouse and downtown in the St. Louis subreddit. They are a from a post from 4 hours ago, but it gives a good perspective, it appears the visibility was pretty bad.

just measured my front stoop, untreated concrete, 2-1/4" as of 3:37pm, visibility probably less than 1/4mi as cannot see Blue rock Rod/Reagan Hwy now. Snow has found another gear. Roads were slushy 10-15min ago, now filling in with white.

Getting hammered here now and the intensity comes and goes. Should be getting to that 3" mark by 4pm or so if this keeps up. But yeah, it comes and goes. Mesoscale banding.

We have Louisville in the 6-10" zone so that should work out nicely with the deformation snows, too.

Awesome to hear! You are just to my west. We will see how the banding sets up for us I-70 posters. Liking what I see. We are now saturating the column. If we can get a couple decent bands along I-70 as the event unfolds we may do ok.
