12Z Euro gives 1.3" of QPF total ay CVG and most of it is snow. About an inch thru midnight falls as snow then I am still thinking a bit of frz drzl or sleet then 0.30" for back end snows Monday. I think we've got the forecast looking good!

Yes steady light snow here in south Dayton
Nothing up here yet.

Edit: A couple of very brave and courageous flakes have managed to fall through the column and arrive in my yard.

Love the radar and looks like from about 1-6 moderate to sometimes heavy snow in the local area. Snows will also increase for the Dayton area. Will watch for changeover to the south but at the moment folks I-64 and north are good to go for several hours.

I'm nearing the 1" mark here pretty soon. Flake size seems to be a bit better (still needs some work lol) but the intensity is nice and steady. Agree Tim and this will only increase while we are watching football. :)

One area I am looking at this moment is in western Indiana and the town of Vincennes and heavy snow reported and 25 degrees. With the radar returns looks like we could see that band say in the 3-6 pm time period. That is the 2 inches per hour band. Even before then we should be in the 1/2 to 1 inch each hour.

Will start watching trends as the day goes on and so far pretty much par for the course though the early morning snows to the southwest was a little bit of a surprise. Temps to the southwest are starting to rise and my be just a few degrees higher than predicted but nothing huge by any means. Will be interesting once thunderstorms start to blossom later in the south. Will this choke off some of the moisture or add more fuel. These are just some items to watch plus up towards the I-70 will the moist air win out and from Indy-Dayton no problem but towards Columbus will need to see how long it takes but they will get there and that is the place I have my totals the lowest

Radars and location reports of what is falling so important. Also you start watching for areas that are not seeing much in the way of precip and this can dictate where the low wants to travel. Starting to see that from Memphis-Nashville-Southeast Kentucky. If this continues we are in great shape.

Yes and at the moment the precip is still mainly going from west to east but out to west of Indy we area starting to see more of a southwest to northeast direction. This is the system starting to get together and this will continue until the low pressure finally stops coming north and then a switch back to the west to east flow. So in the next few hours expect that change and then Dayton and finally Columbus will be in the snow. North of there is still tricky and places like Ft.Wayne and Lima is no doubt very tricky from very little snow on the north end to a few inches southern parts of those areas.

Got a turkey in the oven and now just waiting for that to cook for evening dinner. Snow started here almost right at 10am, been steady ever since. Roads are starting to cover even after the truck came and salted. I turned my Christmas lights on for the day to maybe get some pics/video later on.
Update! The idiot seems to have finally gotten the message. driveway, sidewalks, and now roadways are completely covered, grass is still filling up though. Nice and steady rate here.

Already 5 inches at the Louisville airport with heavy snow. No doubt a bust for them and that is going to be the case with a storm that is this big. Will have times precip is harder and times not so much. South of there in Elizabethtown a mixed bag.

Tim, the low is 1006 MB over NW AR and I expect it to track towards Memphis then along the KY / TN border and into S WV. Whatcha thinkin'?

Les I agree and this is almost a perfect path which scares me. If the storm can stay at 1000 mb and higher we are good to go. Love the map of the transport of moisture to the south. Glad its really starting to ramp up and hopefully say between 3pm-11pm many hours of heavy snow. We have talked about the path for days and some models had this sort of heading up towards Paducah or over Owensboro which no doubt we would be dealing with plenty of mixing issues. If the low heads towards Nashville and then into southeast Kentucky or southwest W.Virgina we are in great shape
