Yes he may and the is one of the keys to the Lions for the rest of the season as they have quite of few defensive players that are hurt. Offense run the ball and then if that does not work run the ball. Goff is a really good QB but if I played defense against him I would make sure he has to scramble out of the pocket on every passing play. One of the best inside the pocket but outside he does have problems.tpweather wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 10:39 amSad to say Les but he is gone imo. I don't think it will be with the Bears as he knows that is 3 teams that seem to be better. Again not sure where he goes but Cincinnati needs a head coach badly. His second half call playing is terrible and got it in his head the kicker was terrible and come on some of those misses were not because of him and really a good coach would have us a 7-4 and not 4-7. Yes the defense needs help but a good coach who has this much offense would find a way to counteract that . Bring me Billy Boy and with Burrow at QB I know he could win some of those close games. If he goes somewhere else then Gruden is fine and a fresh start for him and the Bengals. Marvin Lewis was not a great game day coach but he was able to have the defense in good shape plus he new talent. Then Bengals have so few scouts and you wonder why many of their 3-7 round pics are horrible. You need 4 scouts for both the Big Ten and Southeast Conf alone and we know that is not happening.tron777 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:34 amBen Johnson is supposedly the #1 candidate for the Bears HC job in the off season. I hope not lol I want him to stay with Detroit.tpweather wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:14 amI agree Les and every game is so important since you have the Packers and Vikings on the doorstep. 3 of the top 4 teams in the same division in the nfc sounds more like the AFC North from years past. Please tell Ben your OC who does a great job to just run the ball down by the goal line instead of giving the ball to the right tackle early in the game and expecting him to make a throw down field. When you are the best team on any given day then just do what you do best and make the other team try weird plays.

WHO DEY!!!!!! Wow and they have had one of the easiest schedules this year and they still can't win. Time to fired Taylor but we know that won't happen until after the season if then. What is up with the offensive line that was suppose to be so good.
Re: NFL 2024-2025 Season Discussion
Hey Eric you were correct about are strength of schedule for the year and I was looking at the start of the season when we had one of the easiest schedules because of our 4th place from last year. Could well see another 4th place finish this year.

Almost another week in the books and still I have only 3 teams that I believe can make the Super Bowl. Detroit and Philly in the NFC and Buffalo in the AFC. KC just looks off this year and the defense not as good and not sure they have enough offensive players as I saw the receivers drop several passes on Friday. Still early and another team can get hot but most have a weak spot or two. If I added a fourth it would be the Bengals. Just kidding and the Chargers because you have a coach that is good enough even with some weak spots plus their rookies are playing really good as another team that drafts well when you have Harbaugh.

I agree Tim. I think BUF will take out Mahomes and company in the play off's. For a while I was going with a Mahomes / Lions Superbowl, but I will change it to Josh Allen and My Lions instead.tpweather wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 9:24 am Almost another week in the books and still I have only 3 teams that I believe can make the Super Bowl. Les I am rooting for the Lions and the good thing is the games against GB,Minn and Buffalo are at home and that helps. Philly has 4 out of 5 at home with one home against Pittsburgh and the only away game against Washington. Philly is really healthy and hopefully the Lions can become healthy over the next few weeks on defense. Take care of business and especially division games and you will be seed 1 or 2 but 1 seems so much nicer with a week off and not having to play outside

I agree Tim... it's funny. Some people think that the Lions are a "dome team" and that couldn't be further from the truth. We will play another team anywhere, anytime. Rain, snow, cold, etc. It doesn't matter.tpweather wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 7:34 pm Les I am rooting for the Lions and the good thing is the games against GB,Minn and Buffalo are at home and that helps. Les that is funny since you have 2 really nice running back and a great defense. Still would love to be at home of course but the Lions can win in any conditiontron777 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 4:30 amI agree Tim... it's funny.
