Tigers got killed 7-1 and the Twins won so we are back to 1 GB the Twins for the AL Wild Card spot. 4:10pm this afternoon with my boy Reese Olson.

Tigers win 6-4 in 10 innings! MN was PPD so we are a 1/2 GB now for the WC spot. Rubber match for our last regular season road game of the season at 1:35pm with the Tiger pitcher TBD.

Redlegs took 2 of 3 vs the Pirates as they got blanked 2-0!

A shame they got shut out at home in their last home stand game of the season.

Starter Hunter Greene via his return from the IL only worked 3 innings.

Next is a season-ending road trip for 5 games starting with 2 vs the "Indians".

A day off Mon and then Jakob Junis squares away vs Tanner Bibee at 6:40 Tues.

If Boston can win game 2 this evening then we're up 1/2 game again. Next up for Detroit, is a 6 game home stand to round out the regular season. Monday is an off day and then Tues night at 6:40pm Tampa Bay comes to Motown. Tigers ace Tarik Skubal will get things going.

Redlegs Manager David Bell has been fired after 6 seasons. Bench coach Freddie Benavides will serve as interim manager for the last 5 games of the 2024 season.

Frankly imo its the subpar ownership of Bob and Phil Castellini who NEED TO GO!!

The start time of todays game has been moved up to 1:10pm due to the possibility of rain in Detroit this afternoon.

MLB Network put on the stupid Yankees instead. GRRR! But anyway, no matter because we won 4-1!!! October baseball will be played!!! 1:10pm is the next game today with the Tiger pitcher TBD.

In addition to the Tigers clinching a playoff berth, the Royals did as well since the Tanking Twins lost. The Indians already clinched a while back so 3 teams from the AL Central are going to the play offs! Our division is one of the best in baseball!

Tigers are losing 9-4 BOT 8th inning so I will chalk it up as a loss dropping 2 of 3 with the White Sox. That wraps up the regular season! We are then awaiting the play off schedule from MLB once all of the wild card spots have been filled. I think the AL is done, it's the NL holding us up.
