Cells are starting to take more of a SE turn so Tri-state area will need to keep our eyes open as well.

81 officially at CVG today, 79 now due to clouds. Dewpoint is around 70 so plenty of fuel for storms to work with. Effective shear is around 20 or 25 knots so not much, but enough for a few clusters of storms to develop. Had we had a little better shear and CAPE, this could have been a bigger event. It still could turn into something but the isolated call I think is good. Was surprised to see the SPC bump us up to a slight risk anyway, but what do I know?

Glad I watered my plants. Everything staying to my SW. The Dome is keeping it away from the Metro.

The Dome has held here, not a drop. All to my south now. Will try again this weekend. Will need to water again by then anyway if nothing occurs.

Forecast through the weekend and beyond , is a bit like yesterday's busted forecast, chances for rain and locally heavy rains are ever present for the region and for the board but percentage wise its 50-60 , so the ever present haves and have-not result applies. When it rains is even more in question, expect it to rain when you don't and not to rain when you do. Organized severe threat is very low, but can't rule out a brief pulse type isolated storm .

The 6Z NAM is mostly dry Sat, scattered Sun and likely now on Mon so the weekend wouldn't be bad if this solution is right. All we've heard on the news and on the data is 1-2" of rain. Then it started to become more likely Sun now... who knows?

Drier air is punching in from Indy this morning so look for decreasing clouds as time goes on (already becoming sunny in the west). Dews are dropping to near 60 / low 60s over the areas with 50s located in IN and Western OH. Temps in the 77 to 82 degree range should work for most this afternoon.

The 0Z Euro wants to clip us Sat morning, mainly the river on south then everybody Sunday morning with another batch of convection. So some models do offer hope while others say The Dome will hold.

Yep! Like that tenth I got the other day. I consider it a crack too. Need a good ole fashioned t-storm to officially call it a breech or a collapse of the dome.

Good Morning and mowed the lawn once again and so lush for early July. Yesterday was a bust and I got 0 rainfall at my house. The front looks to had made into northern Tn it looks like so a bit further south than I expected. So nice out with the lower humidity. Where and when will the mcs develop later tonight and how far east will it go before it hits to much dry air. Always hard to pinpoint these until they form and models will go back and forth as well. Will look further into this later today.

12Z NAM is back to showing scattered afternoon and evening action on both Sat and Sun. The 12Z GFS is more of a Sat night and Sun event with scattered action.

Would love to see the long range GFS hold for my fishing trip (not next week but the week after) Minimal rain chances with highs in the U70s and lows 60 to 65. Headed to Lake Huron, Oscoda, MI for a walleye tournament the week of July 19th. :)

The storm track looks to stay south of the Lakes and remains over the OV. Active times are coming... The Domes, hopefully break every so often. At least the chances are there, it's all we can hope for.
