Increasing clouds here but the front isn't close enough yet for those of us to the south. Gonna be a while for us.

Would keep an eye on SE Indiana - looks like some cells popping and that could be your liquid gold in a few hours.

That scattered stuff in SE IN is good for the West siders potentially, but it's not far enough to the south to benefit folks S of the River.

Hope this isn't one of those times where a weakening cluster to our north leaves boundaries but the later development is to far SE and much of the area is gapped

Bgoney I was thinking about that myself. We have seen that play out quite often and can never say never but I believe everyone before midnight Friday morning everyone should have a got a decent shot of rain. Later today some nice thundershowers could pop up with heavy rains but the problem is where that happens is hard to figure out this far in advance. Thursday looks wet and how long does it take for the front to move through. Summer where fronts tend to take longer to move through than models show but so far this week the models have sped up the timing so lets see what happens but still believe the further south you live the better chance of it raining much of the day. Quick cool down but head right back to the frying pan next week and if the tropics decide to get active that can really bring some heat and humidity this way. Down here in SC I went out at 9am and was sweating within seconds.

Well, it broke loose on me north of my house. I bet they got over an inch of rain up there. As for the house only about 3 tenths so far with more moving in. :)

Starting to see storms re-fire along the river from around LOU back to the SW. We'll see if anything there can hold together to come our way later on. A mix of sun and clouds here with temps around 83-84 right now and very sticky with dews around 70. My atmosphere is primed and ready if the powers that be will allow The Dome to burst instead of a small crack.

Good Evening and looks like a few showers and thundershowers are popping up but widely scattered which was expected today. The best chance and a very good chance of rain will happen overnight and expect a very wet rush hour. How long the rain last is all with the front and how long it takes to work its way through the area. Again folks south have a greater chance of getting more rainfall since they are the last to have the front move through. The NWS has issued a flood watch southeast 1/4 of Kentucky as they expect an extended period of rain with some heavier thundershowers involved. After the front we have 3 beautiful days before the heat starts to return next week. The tropics look to have an uptick and you can already tell with the amount of rainfall over much of Florida so plenty of moisture to work with. Of courser tropics tend to mess with the models in timing so best forecast next week is hot and muggy with a chance of afternoon storms. As we get closer hopefully we can time the best days for a chance of storms but we all know how the tropics can put a stop sign on the pattern.

My sister in Lockland sent me this. Right in front of the house. Earlier I picked up half of an inch. North of me did get over that inch mark.

Most of the action this evening is N of the River and S of our I-70 Crew. A third of AV Country cashed in today and the rest of us either got ripped off or got a tenth to two tenths of an inch. Hopefully, those of us who need the rain can cash in tonight and tomorrow. If not... then you'll wait until sometime next week.

At the one inch mark so far today here in Hyde Park. We picked up .35 inch from the first round before 5. A close cloud to ground strike at one point tonight.
