So after the siding crew finished for today I went outside and found 19 loose nails mainly along our winding short walkway and in a front shrub bed. :o ;) Thankfully after a scan of the driveway didn't find any there. :thumbupright: They'll be back tomorrow to do another section which is alongside near my bedroom wall.

Currently 57 here in G'ville and progged for around 43 early Tues morning.

66 here today. CVG topped out at 66. I think Tim could see some light snow at some point over the weekend up in Wisc. Let us know Tim for sure if that does occur. :) Meanwhile for us, we bask in the warmth thru this weekend with some light rain from time to time late this week and this weekend. It will not be a washout IMO. I'm thinking that if the trends hold, Monday should be our wettest day and although chilly, it should be dry for the kiddios. If that changes, we will let you know for sure. That about wraps it out for Rocktober.

When we get the November thread started here soon, we should begin November on the cool side but warm up thereafter as we usually do. I am not sure yet with regards to temps (cooler then normal for the month or warmer). Signals to me are mixed at this time so I'll defer commenting until we get closer.

EDIT: Tim... I saw your post on the previous page. We are on the same page here here it looks like.

You'll be picking them up for months! Same thing happened years ago when we got our roof done. I was picking up roofing nails for what seemed like ages.

Les we know snowfall amounts are not easy and even if we have a good pattern does not always equal tons of snow. Love seeing the northern plains, parts of the northwest and parts of western and central Canada starting to see some decent snows. I have a vision of what may happen this winter but last year was such a bust in January and February.

Hi Tim, we had a Clearinghouse and now over here a "Kash Amburgy's Big Bargain Barn"! :thumbupright:

Remember those radio and TV ads for that place in South Lebanon, OH? :) "Save Cash with Kash!" ;)

Speaking of snow, NWS Fairbanks very early this morning reported a 9" snow depth and a seasonal total of 14.3" which is nearly double the amount they typically receive at this point in the season. Snow cover is building quite nicely now. :)

Good morning all! 40s this morning will give way to the mid 70s this afternoon. An absolutely gorgeous day! I hope all can enjoy it. :) I have no changes to my forecast. Small rain chances towards the end of the week. One light to mod period of rain this weekend with the best chances Monday, ending early on Halloween. Dry and chilly for the kiddies to end Rocktober. Temp wise the 70s today thru perhaps this weekend. 60ish on Monday then the U40s for Halloween.

Looks great Les. Dry and cold for Halloween imo is the best weather for the kids. We only have 2 left and they have maybe 1 or 2 more years. No doubt it will be cold in Wisconsin that evening. Hopefully we can continue the higher amounts on rainfall like this past system

2023 has been a snooze fest for cvgland in the “eventful weather” department. Probably the most memorable so far were the high wind days in Feb/March

I agree though I had thunder and lightning with the last system but took me awhile to remember exactly what that looks like.

No doubt! Really... it has been rather uneventful precip wise since the big storm we had around Christmas last year. Any heavy rainfall and decent t-storms that we did see over the summer was very localized and a lot of folks (as you well know) got next to nothing. I would assume that Mother Nature will try and balance everything out this winter.

The one thing about Halloween is it ought to be a mild wx season time of year that way the kiddies and kids at heart can show their costumes better around the country and not wearing jackets or coats to obscure them more. ;)

Currently 55 here in G'ville and progged for around 77. :sunny:

Rarely do we see a dry and mild Halloween. Typically it is cool and rainy or cold and dry like what I am expecting this year.
