I'm back up to 75 with a dew of 68 under partly sunny skies. We've got a weak low over S IN moving into Central KY later this afternoon. Most storms are concentrated down that way right now. We've been worked over and are in recovery mode. We'll have to wait and see how much if anything, can pop before the sun starts to lose its heating on the atmosphere. 12Z NAM and 18Z HRRR only show scattered convection so a 50/50 chance you see additional rains thru early Sun morning. Then we are dry until Wed night onwards next week.

Seeing some new cells firing up over Central IN headed our way so we'll see how much activity is able to develop in the next couple of hours.

CAPE's back up to a 1000 and shear is at 40 knots. While I am not expecting much severe wx, it should be enough to support that 50 / 50 chance I talked about this evening. We have some weak helicity across NKY around 100 with a supercell comp index of 4. If we see severe wx it'll be isolated. DCAPE is at 1000 over SW OH and SE IN so isolated strong winds are possible. The morning action is what'll keep things from getting out of hand right now. Still heavy downpours, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds are expected in the strongest cells but nothing widespread IMO.

No one model has been stellar to be honest. The short range models tend to do a bit better but not always. The global models have been terrible like the GFS and Euro.
Thanks Les I will keep a close eye on the short range from now on. Still planning on leaving in a week for vacation. But I might cut it short to get back to cut grass. 😒
No problem. I think we're good today, not so good tomorrow into Sunday. Good for mowing Mon and Tues and even into Wed before renewed chances come in late Wed and into Thurs of next week.

Yep, yesterday was good. Today about an hours worth of rain. Let's see what tomorrow brings. :)

Good Sunday morning to you all! The rain is done for most of us now until late Wed or Wed night of next week. Until then, skies will slowly clear today with lower humidity for Mon and Tues. Upper 80s and more humid weather returns for Wed ahead of that next system. 50-70% coverage appears likely now from Wed night thru next weekend at the very least with our next period of unsettled weather.

Only 79 here today, CVG the same. Look for the 50s tonight in most areas (minus downtown) and tomorrow will be a lovely day in the low to mid 80s with sunny skies, Tues in the mid to upper 80s and Wed increasing clouds with a late day storm possible and 88-90. Then storms possible Wed night thru at least next weekend is where we stand attm. No signs of the current pattern breaking down for the next 10+ days.

Dews are continuing to drop and should get into the 50s shortly. A nice N breeze is making for a pleasant evening as the sun goes down in the next couple of hours. Gorgeous cobalt clear skies and not smoked filled for a change.

For folks who saw rain yesterday, look for patchy dense fog in the morning on your way to work with clear skies and light winds. Once temps cool to the dew point, locally dense fog will form especially where there is plenty of ground moisture from recent rains. We may see a repeat Tues morning in a few spots also.

60 here this morning! Some of you I am sure dropped into the 50s in more outlying areas. No fog here, I was surprised not to see any. Looking like a beautiful day on tap so hope all can enjoy since it is a Monday and all.

Looks like the Canadian want to give me 3.5 inches of rain over the next 10 days. While the gfs and euro says not so fast. :)

86 in my hood today, CVG 84. Expecting U80s or so the next couple of days. Wed night on into early next week will offer up a daily chance of t-storms. Some can be strong to severe if the timing is right. What I think is going to happen is that we get similar timing to the last several systems. Action weakens as it moves in. Heavy rain amounts West, Moderate rains Central and Light East. That has been the theme really for a while unfortunately.

Good morning all... Expecting a few more degrees on the temp today but the humidity will still be in check. Then the humidity begins to slowly kick in tomorrow with a couple of pop up storms possible. Still thinking Thurs onwards holds better chances.
