There has been a sustained global-scale effort to reduce coal power capacity in recent years. Meanwhile, China’s government has been busy loosening restrictions on coal plant construction to power its post-pandemic economy. In 2020, China built over three times as much new coal power capacity as all other countries in the world combined – with no signs of letting up in years to come.
While the rest of the world combined to commission just 11.9 gigawatts (GW) of new coal plants in 2020, China alone commissioned 38.4 GW of new coal-fired power capacity (Global Energy Monitor, 2021).

Over 73 gigawatts (GW) of new coal power projects were initiated in China last year. This is five times as much as in all other countries combined.

Its not man made global warming, its reckless abuse of resources or management of resources in nearly every case. The fires and water shortages are 100 percent this . Over population in an area that has always had long term droughts and a reservoir system that was designed for half that population 90+ years ago with few updates and we have to pretend(again) its fossil fuels fault.

Years ago, they were pumping water out of the Great Lakes and sending it out West. We had very low water levels when they were doing that. It stopped and the Lakes now are at record levels on the last few years. Let's hope that they don't start abusing our precious resource again in our region of the country.

LOL! I am getting tired of it all being shoved down our throats. Glad their is still freedom of choice as in, I don't watch much TV anymore. Not like I used to. Can't stand it honestly.

Same here, I can't remember the last time I watched a series the major networks. A few shows on history Channel, Discover, and Diy and that's it . I DVR everything to buzz through the liberal commercials.
I didn't even watch the olympics , as a lot of people didn't. What funny is the dumbasses wonder why, they say it was because of the year delay or because of no fans in stands , which everyone knows is BS. For me anyway, it was because I didn't want to watch a bunch of pampered athletes who every chance they can , trash the country who pampers them
