* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Switzerland County in southeastern Indiana...
East central Carroll County in northern Kentucky...
Southern Kenton County in northern Kentucky...
Southern Campbell County in northern Kentucky...
Southern Boone County in northern Kentucky...
Northern Grant County in northern Kentucky...
North central Owen County in northern Kentucky...
Northern Pendleton County in northern Kentucky...
Gallatin County in northern Kentucky...

* Until 815 PM EST.

* At 728 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Warsaw,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.

Can definitely verify the hail here. Warning justified. Winds to 50 mph. Temp dropping.

More areas added to the warning in NKY. 60mph winds and quarter size hail are mentioned threats.

66 / 55 0.19" and climbing so far. Still getting some hail too. Sheesh! What a storm to kick off our 2023 storm season!

Trev, that surface low of 1004 MB came right over us to ignite these storms. Gave the front a little kick! That was the difference maker with this one. Otherwise dry air would have won out. CAPE was there but low. Steep lapse rates are always good potential hail indicators and we had that big time!

No wind but a good deal of hail, mostly dime sized here in Fairfield near Mercy Hospital. Came down for 5-10 minutes.

What a nice light show this evening. I thought hail was coming down the way it sounded but it just really heavy rain for about 2 minutes. Rain starting again and this should be the last hurray for at least 24 hours.
