Can hear some thunder from a cell to my south by Union. It's dropping SE away from my hood.

Got missed by a couple cells myself - currently best action up here is in the Xenia area. My wife said there was a downpour at her work in Kettering earlier.

Really is Les. I got the bonus yesterday with the downpour that gave me 4/10ths of an inch. I hear folks mowing but no rain but still once in awhile a clap of thunder.

Poured a good 1/2 inch a half hour ago here in Westwood.

So for the week so far re my gauge ...Mon .30", Tues around a trace, Wed dry, Thurs dry, and so far for Fri dry. By the looks of the current radar scan, doesn't look good at all here for north of I-70.

Guess the OV needed temps in the 90s and much juicier dews like even what Montana and the Dakotas have had this week to get any helpful explosive convection for substantial rainfall amounts.

Glad at least that the Tri-state is cashing in!

Yesterday was the first 100% dry day that I have had and thinking today might be too. Chances IMO are low from I-75 and points west and higher eastward from that corridor.

It'll be an interesting battle between our cooler and less humid pattern and the tropics trying to fire up. The tropical system may slide west and not bother us, unless the timing is right and an incoming cold front and pick it up and send the rain in our direction. We'll just have to wait and see. Both ideas are on the table.

Sure pray and hope that 2nd scenario will happen, as this week with the exception of Mon, has been pretty much a disappointment for my area, Bro.

At least others though have gotten some much needed Ma Nature love for which I am grateful!

Good Morning and got 4/10ths of an inch yesterday around 130pm. Raining cats and dogs for about 20 minutes. For the week just a tad over 2 inches and with most days the sun never made it out for an extended period all that was soaked into the ground. A nice relief from humidity next week and that also helps in keeping the moisture in the ground. I believe the models will have problems over the next couple of weeks as we are introducing a tropical system into the mix and we know that kills timing. If the tropical system happens and it moves into the gom and strengthen expect some decent ridging to the north and this could end up giving us some hot days during the second half of June. Again plenty of maybe's when you get a tropical system.

Thankfully, no abnormally dry / D01 threat at least for your Edgewood and Greenville properties i.e., Bro!

Hey Eric, no drought in either place so very lucky. Hope you and your family are doing well. Parts of North Dakota got over and inch of rain in the past 24 hours. Pretty big deal as the average for the year is around 12 inches.

Finally took the brunt of a t-shower with some heavy rain around 5 followed by another with light rains. An inch total. Patience payed off.[

Australia cold - more cold news for the global warming crowd. Saw where Sydney had their coldest high temperature on Wednesday since 1984 causing sea smoke to form in the Sydney Harbor.

CVG dropped to 66 about 4am and started rising ever since. Mid to upper 70s out there now as we approach the 10am hour. Mid to upper 80s for most today with only slim rain chances down this way. A 50/50 chance ?Sunday then we're dry the rest of the way and really for all of next week.

Good Morning and its like a sauna outside. Earlier in the week I thought we may hit 89 or 90 on Sunday. I thought with the timing of the front that would be the best chance for that to happen. Well already 82 at 11am so getting to 89 or 90 is possible today. Dew points are high and may be the only limiting factor but we should get close. Sunday again is another day to watch but the clouds may keep us from getting that high but I have seen these fronts get hung up and you get that extra day of rapid heating. The good thing is we get a break for much of next week and really need to dry out at my house.
