Vladimir Gutierrez squares away vs Adam Wainwright at 8:15 Thurs.
Reds and Tigers both on a big 4 game series! Division foes for both ball clubs and we need to separate the men from the boys early in the season. Hope both clubs can go 3 out of 4 if not a sweep!

I am amazed, Mike, at how they won 6 in a row in early April and looked great, like finally they were really turning things around vs the last few seasons, exception being when they made it to a wild card series last year. Then all a sudden have been inconsistent a lot of the time and have sunk currently next to last place.
Like you mentioned, hopefully they can acquire some fresh relievers before the deadline.

THE KIND OF GAME THAT JUST TOTALLY BLOWS THE MIND!! Cincy led 7-0 through 5 innings and then their pitching got sloppy BIG TIME in the 6th as its now tied 7-7!!
Bell should have left Miley IN!

The guys lost 5-1! Starter Sonny Gray left the game in the 4th inning with a groin injury.
He had a back sprain earlier in the season.
On a positive note though, Joey Votto rejoined the lineup on Tues night as he has been rehabbing a broken thumb.

Cincy took 1 out of 3 vs Milwaukee as they lost today 7-2!
For a while I had thought that veteran starter Luis Castillo had finally found his 'former' self, from last year, a few games back, but is now so far (2-9) for this season.
Sigh ...
Next is a 3 games series vs the Rockies to round out the home stand.
