Stopped in Knoxville, even though I really wanted to finished the drive to Independence tonight. Not worth getting stuck on top of the mountain. That being said, the plows are sitting on the roadside down here ready to do their thing. Think I will stay up and wait for the changeover (looks to be about midnight). Enjoy the fun, everyone!

Radar echos continue to fill into the west. Not “death band” intensity, but incredibly high ratio stuff. Higher end of the ranges look likely.

Hey Tim, unfortunately the Jags won 19-3. At least the Bengals still have clenched a playoff spot at 10-4. :thumbupleft:

Enjoy the storm bro! :)

Now at 12 with a WC of -5.

Frozen over here in Lebanon. Light to periods of moderate snow will continue for a few more hours as the storm continues to tighten up. It’s wicked outside now. It’ll only get worse as winds continue to crank up and temps drop.

There's Level 1 snow emergencies in Darke, Montgomery and Preble and probably some other counties, too.

Just came inside from taking the dogs out. Tried to find them a workable patch on the NE corner of the house where it’s at least a little sheltered. Not fun, and having smaller dogs is tough during a storm like this. Also, had to watch out on the back patio, it’s a sheet of ice.

Wind woke me up. CVG reports Heavy Snow, Freezing Fog, Current temp 0. Winds 270 at 30 knots, gusts to 39 knots. That makes winds at 37 with gusts to 47. That makes the windchill -27 to -31. Runway visibility 1/4 SM Tower vis 1/2 SM.

Yes, a Blizzard warning should have been issued by now.

Hamilton County is at level 2.

Winds woke me up. Weatherbug is saying 18 mph but I'm sure it's higher.

Good Morning and just heard a plow go by which surprised me. Saw that CVG has 4.2 inches of snow. Going to be hard to measure as I look outside this morning with plenty of snow drifts. Does look like a winter wonderland as everything is just frozen over. Beautiful to look at but not so much if you must drive somewhere today. Not going to shovel as the snow is my only traction and very lucky I don't need to leave the house until Christmas Day so hopefully by then conditions are better. Opened the front door and a wall of cold just hits you in the face.
