Stopped in Knoxville, even though I really wanted to finished the drive to Independence tonight. Not worth getting stuck on top of the mountain. Just came inside from taking the dogs out. Tried to find them a workable patch on the NE corner of the house where it’s at least a little sheltered. Not fun, and having smaller dogs is tough during a storm like this. Also, had to watch out on the back patio, it’s a sheet of ice.

Good Morning and just heard a plow go by which surprised me. Saw that CVG has 4.2 inches of snow. Going to be hard to measure as I look outside this morning with plenty of snow drifts. Does look like a winter wonderland as everything is just frozen over. Beautiful to look at but not so much if you must drive somewhere today. Not going to shovel as the snow is my only traction and very lucky I don't need to leave the house until Christmas Day so hopefully by then conditions are better. Opened the front door and a wall of cold just hits you in the face.
