Good Morning and not going to make picks but just a few things I have noticed this season and really goes back to last year. We know the rules favor the offense and has for several years. Saying that defense is catching up to the changes and we are seeing less scoring. Will this continue and my guess is yes. The four teams last year in the nfc title game and afc title game were defensive teams except KC which has we know has Andy Reid who has always been an offensive guy. We think about the Bengals as a Offensive team and they have some really good players on that side of the ball but it was their defense that won the 3 games in the afc playoffs. Of course SF and the Rams are both defensive teams. Once you get into the playoffs of course you want to score but if your defense is weak then most likely you will get beat. With that info the Bills and SF probably have the best defenses in the league though Buffalo is hurt at a few positions. The Bengals are underrated for their defense imo and though KC has a great run defense their pass defense may be one of the worst in the league. We are only 1/4 of the way through the season but 3 teams stand out in each conference imo and the nfc has SF,Tampa which has a good defense and yes the Cowboys whose defense is underrated as well. In the AFC the Chiefs even though not the best defense their offense is explosive,Buffalo with a great defense but the running game not that great and the third team is the Bengals and though their end of year schedule is brutal they play 4 out of their last 6 at home. Btw Bengals start playing Chris Evans at RB because Dixon seems to have lost a step or two.

I really forgot about the Eagles with my top 3 nfc teams. Very good on defense and the offense is coming around. Could switch them and the Cowboys but will watch over the next few weeks.

Good Morning and will keep 5 of my top 6 the same this week. NFC-Tampa,Dallas,San Fran,Philly. AFC-Kansas City,Buffalo. The Bengals are out of my top 6 and reason the head coach. You lose 3 games at the final gun or OT then you have no sense of the play clock. Running game looked better yesterday and you have a 1st and goal at the 2 and you come out with some wacky calls. The Bengals got to the Super Bowl because of their defense last year and really the offense has not been that good and though you have some really good players the coach has no ideal how to use them. The defense can only do so much and after awhile it will start to show. The defensive cord is great and he does wonderful adjustments at halftime and he hopes the head coach does not get in his way.

Agreed Tim.... that loss is clearly on the coach. They should have let Evan kick the FG instead.

Good lord that offense is terrible. You can tell the skill position players have zero confidence in the O-line and why would they? Zac has no clue what play to call because he has no confidence in them either. 17 points against that defense is pitiful

The O-line is indeed awful. I mean opposing defenses beat up on Joey B last season too don't get me wrong, but this season, the protection seems even worse. Hope he can make it thru the season and his body can take on the beating.
