If you take next week as a whole , I give rain chances at 30-40%. Some days ,with the front near by the chance may be 60-70%, other days, as low as 10-20%. So, a good chunk of the region , by next weekend , should get beneficial amounts.

NWS has us mainly dry today. Gotta watch the storm clusters to the north. Some modeling brings it down this way in some form later today.

Good Morning and quite a few folks up early this Saturday morning. Next week looks to be as stormy as you will see in late July. With a wonderful cold front which will cool down the great lakes area and the continued heat and humidity to our south we are in a nice place to receive some decent rainfall for a period of time. How much and where exactly is hard to pinpoint this time of year but we have probably 4 or 5 days where rain is possible and that is unusual for this time of year.

Les we are playing with fire as more cloud cover will keep temps down but the dew points will be higher so at the end of the day it really becomes a wash.

Picked up .20" from this morning (probably was more than that though, but due to the non-damaging gusts was directed elsewhere). ;) :)

Good Morning and Les made a great point about the clouds yesterday and that kept temps down about 5 degrees. Today looks like the hottest day for the next 10 days at least and since we will be just south of the front we could see a 94 or 95 with heat index nearing 105. The upcoming week looks busy for late July with several chances of rain. Not going to rain all the time and depending where these complexes set up some folks will do great with rainfall totals and other may be unlucky in the timing and end up with much less. These forecasts are never easy and you try and give a broader forecast and expect most folks before say Saturday morning should end up with 1-3 inches of rainfall. My guess some folks will be higher but the exact location is very hard to pin down until we see these complexes set up each day. The good thing cloud cover will keep temps down and if you get a day where the front pushes further south you may end up with some drier air to help with the dew points.

Good morning! I don't see how we can't make it into the 90s today. Should be a cooker! Overnight storms will move into the area and kick off a stormy week ahead. I like Tim's 1-3" call for rain. Some could see even more. We'll have to see where the front stalls, how far it comes back north as a warm front, etc. The usual stuff.

No doubt clouds once again more stubborn than I expected. That should knock down highs once again though the dew points are high.
