My gauge had almost .10 from overnight rain.
Have been out mowing the ditch line around the property bc it’s dry now. :)
Current temperature here is 93…

89 so far at CVG today. We'll see if a sneaky 90 can occur or not.

All goo here. Did pick up 7 tenths of an inch though. Flooding was just off to my north and northeast outside of the outerbelt. I spent the day in cinch where the sun was. Got home a little bit ago.

Not much rain here as of yet. Mainly been a noise maker. Hopefully that changes as the day unfolds. Radar already looking busy which is a good sign.

Good Morning Les. Very little rain in my backyard for the 1st round but like you mentioned the radar looks great. The first round was further north but with a break in the action the second round should be further south and then this should continue through Monday. Hopefully this gets everyone some rainfall and hopefully a decent amount. That is the good news but once we get this system through by Tuesday ridging comes in quickly. If we get some decent rainfall this will help in keeping temps from getting out of control mid-late week but again dew points will be higher and this will add to the heat index. So when you have a day with no rain expect temps to hit the low 90's and the heat index near 100 which is hot but not quite what we have seen earlier this year.I thought the heat would expand more the second half of July and though certain days will be nasty we are not seeing day after day heat which is good except it messes with my forecast lol.

Good morning Tim! Wed should be a good day to get up into the 90s and probably again by next weekend. We'll see what that next front does in terms of timing and moisture Wed night or Thurs.

Flood watch for much of the local area and folks in southern Ohio. Steady light rains but also some heavier patches that can produce heavy rain for a period of time.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Showers and thunderstorms will bring widespread 1 to 2 inches of
rain to the region. Given that the atmosphere is very moist,
locally higher amounts may occur which could lead to flash
flooding.

* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, including the
following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin IN,
Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union IN and Wayne. In Kentucky, Boone,
Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason,
Owen, Pendleton and Robertson. In Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown,
Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware,
Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin,
Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami,
Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union OH
and Warren.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Nice total and the first round help folks north and northeast. Each round until Monday should be a little further south but if you are one of the lucky ones to get in on a couple of heavier rounds 2-3 inches very possible.

Next round moving into the local area. Mainly light rain but some moderate rain falling about 30-40 miles west and hopefully that moves through here in the next few hours.

Les,nothing to heavy so far and that is good as we can get some of this rain into the ground. Do I believe we needed the flash flood watch and probably no but I understand that later with the jet being strong some heavier rain could fall in a short period of time but not expecting widespread issues. Concerning the heat ridge in the central part of the country. No doubt its forming and will see many heat advisories go up over the next several days. Some of that will try and push east and when you see a day with no rain temps can rise quite easily. So low 90's with heat index near 100 seems possible Wed-Sat but it may not hit that every day. After that does the ridge try to bully itself even more and we will see. If we get a break starting Thursday and go a few days with no rain then the weekend could be quite toasty but with recent rains that should help keeping temps probably in the 92-94 range and heat index maybe 102 or so. Yes hot but not as brutal like we saw in June. After that do continue on with the heat or does the mjo head into phase 1 and 2 which can be a cooler pattern and cooler I mean near normal with highs in the 85-88 and lows 68-72.

Just .30" here , not impressed so far with the widespread heavy rain forecast. Also agree ILN may have over-did the extensive watch area, but the day is not over, hopefully things can pick up this evening
