Thanks so much for the b-day wishes. It means a lot to me to have my weather family. I blew the forecast yesterday as some folks got some rain and I even got a shower late last night. I plan on playing golf today lol.

IMO working in counties in SW OH, a good chunk of real-estate for SW OH should be added in the D0 designation, as abnormally dry is the rule with only very, very isolated areas of normal

Bgoney its such a broad brush they use when doing the drought updates and rarely pay attention to them because we know rainfall in the summer is so localized. I am by no way in any kind of drought condition but with that broad brush they believe I am. I have seen a few places where they grown a small amount of corn and the height seems find but we are talking about a small area of corn and so much easier to keep water on them compared to big farms.

There are brown patches in peoples lawns who cut their grass too short here. Mine is not too bad since I keep it longer plus due to last weekends rains. As long as I get something from this next system I'll be good. Otherwise D0 here I come.

Happy Birthday Tim.

Back to weather. Not sure what model to believe for rain chances this weekend. It's a toss up imo at the moment.

Yea, I think a 40-50% chance Sunday night into Monday of scattered showers and storms is my call atm. Some lucky few may get an inch , others may get a tenth , pretty much a typical summer rain chance

Overnight mods have bumped up precip potential for late Sunday into Monday with a stronger shortwave out of the NWflow. Coverage and amounts were also bumped up , so a few more winners added and few less losers in the beneficial rain dept

Good Friday morning all! A nice day in store with the dews creeping up tomorrow and esp on Sunday. I still think we avoid rain chances until Sunday. NW of Cincy maybe a different story tonight into tomorrow. I think the MCS or line of storms fades before it gets here. Sun morning looks spotty with chances ramping up in the afternoon and evening. Again overnight into Monday morning as well. Would love to see more then half of us get clobbered with the rain but it usually doesn't work that way lol The 90s are poised to return next week, 90-92 anyway.

How much of that ILL pushing into IN action is going to hold together until it fizzles out Sat morning? We shall see if we can get wet tonight or not. NW areas are favored vs SE in this set up.

The incoming clouds are going to probably put a stop to any chances, CVG dropped to 84 now.

Good Saturday morning all! A small chance for rain today but tomorrow looks to be the day per guidance so good luck to all! 1/2" to 2"+ is possible depending on where repeated t-storms occur.

The shortwave out of the NWflow for tomorrow is expected to be stronger than the one currently giving central Ohio beneficial and also flash flooding rains . So yea, some areas will get clobbered tomorrow while some will say, what's the big deal.
